Sorry man, I've been through a similar thing with my previous car where i had invested a lot, but the car was +10 years old.
The insurance will most probably not compensate you for any of the "maintenance" related items... which from your list looks like most of it is. So a write off is expected here.
Your best bet is to empty all the expensive stuff from the car and resell part by part. Or buy another TL and fix it up with them.
Or the last option, take the money from the insurance for the write-off, re-buy your car from the scrap yard that they will sell it to, and fix it with the insurance money... but that's a long shot
I hope the insurance will fix it but highly doubt it.
Sorry that this unfortunate accident happened. Here's my 2 cents on the damage. If Paul is suggesting it needs a radiator and condenser, most likely means the radiator support was pushed. The radiator support is welded to the frame rails. The frame rails are strong but can be moved by a force like this. The sub frame (cradle) also bolts to the frame rails as well to the body. The cradle, tend to bend or be tweaked easily due to it being a softer aluminum. Look at the fender and hood gap, it's out of alignment. The drivers upper frame rail most likely needs to be pulled as well. I don't discredit Paul, I know him personally and he's a great guy, but the only way to really know whats going on, is to strip the front end and put the vehicle on an body alignment rack. Measurements will be recorded and the body shop will know what needs to be done in order to bring the frame back within the recommended mm. I was an ASE master certified technician and also worked for Acura for a few years. Before going to Acura I was certified in body repairs and inspections. See what the insurance company says, I have a good feeling they will write it off just due to the age / mileage of the vehicle. This is a bit more involved if you wanted to buy this vehicle back from the insurance company and fix it yourself. Keep us posted and best of luck!
All great points! DMZ best of luck, hate to see another TL go...
I've driven Chevy's entire 4-door lineup in recent rentals, and I wouldn't trade a single one of them for the TL. Well, maybe if it was brand new and I could resell it for enough to buy two TLs.
The Chevy SS 6 speed manual is pretty good. They are giving them away. Most dealers I saw $36-37K asking. MSRP is 48-49K. 20% off all SS for 2017
^^^ people now these day will be like "6spd? I got one too and its 10 spd" LMFAO. I am sad that 3rd pedal is going away.
pretty much.... luckily honda brought back the 6 speed in their new accords! so that says a lot. i really hope honda sticks by their fans and goes back to the good ole 90's to early 2000's era when they were the best

Only thing is, the 6 speed manual tranny is only available in the Sport model, which lacks key elements of the Touring model including turn signal side mirrors.

No frame damage! The right front suspension is bent however. My body guy has to replace the lower control arm, shock, and spindle. Insurance company is jerking me off, what else is new?

hmmm. not sure if it’s good to be damaged rather than total if they are offering you jack! my fx35 ended up getting totaled and my insurance paid me out well. i got 2k more than i was expecting. i use progressive and have an emerald membership (if that makes any diff)
at least new suspension and paint is in the works! and you wont have to deal with the hassle or money lost from all of your maintenance done, so that’s a plus
By offering me pennies on the dollar for the damage, how else? And that's HIS insurance company.

I had to play this game a few years ago; I ended up having my insurance company fix the car. Yes, I had to pay the deductible, however, my insurance company subrogated the claim to her insurance company; they ended up paying the full amount and I got my deductible back.
They have only two options, fix or total.
Now they might be giving you a low-ball offer on a total, but if they state it's fixable, get the written estimate and have your shop look it over and if they feel it's inaccurate, have the shop give them a call.
I got into an accident with my 2007 TL-S a month ago with 202K miles on it. No personal injuries. Looking at the damage I thought it was going to be totalled. But to my surprise the insurance decided to pay for repairing it. After 4 weeks and $6,100, I got my car and it drives like before. I am lucky to get mine back.

$6100?? daaaang, i'm surprised they didn't total it either with that type of mileage!

I am more than surprised. I almost bought a new car. I had no doubt they would total the car but only to learn they would pay for it. The insurance agent told me that the car’ value came up much higher and they are happy to repair it.
With TB, water pump and other replacements required soon including brakes and tires, I was hoping they total the car. You never know!!
