Traded in the TL...

Hey guys/gals --

Finally did it ...

It was VERY difficult for me to part with my 2004 TL, purchased brand new in 2004 after I lemoned my defective (3 dead transmissions) TL-Type-S (2k2) ...

but last Thursday I bit the bullet on the G37xS .. (pics to come)

So for all you interested in a METICULOUSLY maintained TL Aspec with 95k miles on it, STELLAR condition, ipod interface, FULL r/s-alarm installed by yours truly... i'm sure it'll be sitting on the lot at Lisle Infiniti (Illinois), LOL for about $5k more than what they gave me for it.

Love the TL, love this site, and love the guys and gals on this site that have helped me along the way, thanks for everything, I will certainly be on here often helping out with A/V, troubleshooting, etc -- this site is my e-home!

Pics of the G to come.

Do you really need 7 speeds? I came from infiniti G35S before jumping to Acura. You and your passengers will enjoy the roominess of the interior, especially the rear compared to the TL. Don't be a stranger.

Nice...those are really great cars. I know how you feel, too. I'm planning on getting rid of my TL in a few years, but the concept doesn't completely sit well with me now.

I remember you helping me with some suspension stuff many moons ago (pretty sure it was suspension stuff ). You always had good insight and advice; glad you won't be totally gone.

Now make with the pics.

Thanks guys!

That's very nice of you to mention me like that, I'm always happy to help now until this site closes (hopefully NEVER!)

You guys have been very cool compared to many many other forums I've visited, i owe this site a lot, the LEAST i can do is offer my A/V and mechanical experience with you all.

Dam.. I remember as previous 2nd gen owner reading your escapade over on the 2G section when you were going through the wringer trying to get your shit lemoned and then moved onto the 3rd Gen. We missed you in the 2G section but atleast you were still in the family. I followed as well, but I was lucky enough not to experience tranny problems, but now your leaving the family all together. G is nice car man.. you'll love it!

Elegant -- your post as well as the previous member's post is why THIS IS THE COOLEST FORUM AND YOU GUYS ARE THE COOLEST E-ZINERS...

You're just cool guys and I will NEVER stray from this site brother, I miss my TL terribly, and I really wish I was a 100k+ guy with cars, but I needed something that had a warranty and AWD (chicago winters just suck).

The DAY Acura makes a sweet looking TL like your Black Aspec, Elegant, I'm in the Acura family again as soon as it's financial feasible.

I'll ALWAYS be contributing on Problems/Fixes and A/V and Suspension, etc....

helping THREE aziners right now install their remote starters, LOL!

LOL, I actually technically only need 2 accelerating gears and 1 overdrive gear, four wheels, and power steering, but what I want....

is the TL AWD with my 3G exterior and rims, and the G powerplant...

and since i CANNOT have that, I got the G37xS,

Nice new toy & for sure come back visiting us from time to time .... there will always be guys jumping from Infiniti to Acura & vice versa since these are the two closest competitors IMHO ....

Would love to hear your drive exp. & feedback a month or two down the road ...

I was SERIOUSLY considering a pre-owned 2k8 TL-S 5AT, but just couldn't trust any owner that had it before ... i think the first few thousand miles are critical to longevity of an engine ...

Congrats - nice car. Most of us probably cross-shopped the G's before settling on TL's. I know we'll all be interested in your ownership reports and comparisons as time goes by.

Nice upgrade.. congrats!.. I'll been eyeing the M37S & M50.. I'd really like to see how they perform. I wouldn't trade the TL though.. body is too classic. It'll be the project car if I get another ride.
