Sorry about posting this as a separate thread but I was asked to tell folks what the totaled value of my car was. It was an 05 with 37996 miles on it. The insurance company totaled it and said it was worth 28375 + sales tax or 1418.75 for a total of 29793.75.

I was a bit surprised, but happy!!! I can now buy another new car and well... I doubt if after 38,000 miles they would have given me 28,375 in trade!!!

 

Sounds to me like your insurance company did you well!! Did you have to negotiate any mods etc.?

I'd be happy with that considering what the 06's are going for right now...

I had no mods on the car, I was about ready to replace the tires. Had I done, so I would have gotten more to cover the cost. I had them shipped back to tirerack.

The insurance company was encompass.

This is what they offered without any negotiation. I was very pleased. I do not have a pic to post here but the entire back half of the car was fine and even the front wheels and tires were ok.
