What did you crash into? That is some heavy damage that will cost too much to replace but I don't see how this could be drivable by insurance standards esp. with high mileage for your '04.

My vote that TL is totaled!! I suggest you find a car that is NOT a TL since you already crashed one, its a sign. Don't mean to be rude but at your age this was bound to happen.

haha not you the OP lol. I tend to keep my car in pristine condition, but can't since I bought it with so many tiny chips in the front bumper that I will have to eventually get repainted. Damn!

I thought cars were totaled if Airbags deploy? Is there a guarantee the bag will deploy in the next fender bender?

is it me or does the OP have TWO different user names?

insurance isn't fixing his 04 TL. he's salvaging a wrecked 05 and transferring parts to his wrecked 04 thereby avoiding the insurance all together from what i understand.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/navi-help-845112/

he's answered responses under both user names....

On another note, it looks like you just joined the forum to ask people if you think your car is totaled.

Seriously?

Lol.

Wrecked, welcome to Acurazine-sorry to see all the damage to your TL.

In the future, please only post your same-themed threads only once.

Cheers!

that looks very expensive to fix..the frame sufferer some damage there. It is a shame, considering the rest of the car is still in great condition.
Sorry to see this.

I had a '04 6MT NBP TL at 18/19, and was a year from its payoff when I traded it for my TL-S.

He must and that's what I understand as well. Didn't realize this ride was that damaged.

I would have had a frame guy look at it first but it's his money. We've all been young and made mistakes. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a death trap when he's finished.

dont worry im taking it to Toyota to make the swaps because i have a good friend that works there i just need to take the front lip off and replace it no frame damage at all. They have everything they need down there to make the job done right i even made sure about the frame he wouldnt fix the car if he didnt think it would be safe.
thanks though

I hope your boys at Toyota can get your car up and running again. I'll wait for the after-repair pictures

A lot of people here are speaking from experience, you'd do well to listen to them.

I don't think that this is going to turn out well, but good luck. Most people that try to get their repairs done for cheap and make a buck off the insurance payment get screwed in the end.

In for pics of the repair.

I hope you drive safer from here on out. As a kid, I totaled my parents' Lexus LS400 back when I was 17 (wasn't my fault but other driver blamed me for being a teen driver). After that incident, I've been extremely cautious on the road. Drive safe and let's see some pictures!

Whatever you do, see what they (the Ins Co.) will sell the car back to you for if they total it. I had an IS300 before I got my TL. A guy ran a stop sign and totaled it for me. The buy back from the Ins Co was $250 bucks! You read that right, ONLY $250. The engine still started and was drivable. I ended up getting $5,800 for it on Craigslist. You can either part it out or sell it to someone whole. Don't leave that money on the table.

I did that with my old 95 Tahoe, got rear-ended, bought back from insurance for $350. I parted it out engine/trans and other stuff, made somewhere around $5k
