Torque Converter Lockup?

I'm going to be doing a 3x3 here shortly and going over the instructions from Honda it says to make sure the car goes through all 5 gears and into torque converter lockup. I have no idea what that means or how to do it. Can someone help me out here? Would it just be easier to drop the car and drive it around for 5 minutes making sure it hits all 5 gears?

Easiest explanation, just take it out for a drive, go 55 and maintain that speed and the converter will be in lock up.

converter will engage in any gear above 2...if you live near a freeway, just hop on go up a mile and come back...

Yes, how did I know that was coming, as long as one stays out of the gas it will go into lockup, so easiest explanation is just cruise.

Yup, so do many people/shops, but as the OP is not very mechanically savy, best to handle with kid gloves.

Also, when in Drive, there is a lock up in 2nd gear also if you want to be a wise guy.
