Torque
If you have an automatic, might see if anyone is making a higher stall torque converter. Something called STR is also a factor when choosing a new converter besides the stall, I believe it stands for Static Torque Ratio, but I'm not sure, at the end of the day I think it is a measure of the efficiency of the converter over a RPM range. Anyways, my guess is that there is little if any aftermarket for converters for the TL, but if you really want serious torque multiplication, then might look and see if anyone selling them or can modify your stock verter. Maybe someone with some Honda/Acura experience can chime in here. Basic Torque converter information:

The second link seems to currently be down, but if my memory serves it is has some of the best explainations of the working of torque converters.
Be advised as the efficiency of the converter decreases the heat transfer to the fluid increases (bad for the trans/will need trans cooler) and driveabiliy is affected. For example let's say a stock TL verter stalls at 1300 rpm, and you had a 3300 rpm stall converter, you would have to push the accelerator pedal more just to get the car to move and acceralate at mild/mid throttle imput vs stock. But hammer that ***** and fry your stock tires.

The TL has enough torque for a FWD car. Any more and you'lll wind up in the other lane. I just got rid off my 350Z and eventhough I miss having the rear slide out everytime I upshifted I do not expect to drive the TL in the same fashion. The TL is a different beast. More refined and more luxurious.

Haven't hammered mine yet, but on my test drive, floored it a couple times, and your correct, you need a grip on the wheel so things don't get out of hand <grin>. The guy who started this post is going to be disappointed, as I'm not sure the TL trans would be up to the task of torque multiplication.
Here's a question for the TL crowd, does the TL computer pull timing in between shifts? The 98 up F-body cars (LS1 powered Trans Ams, Camaros, and Formulas) have what's called Torque Management, which the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the car's computer, pulls timing for a split second between shifts. F with the torque via a modification and the PCM in some case F-s with the timing retard. Wonder if the Acura TL has a similar system?

Tell me about it!:lol2: :toothless
MAXIMA = Japanese word for 'massive torque steer'
CAMRY = Japanese word for "sleep, pillow, comfort, floating cloud"
In all seriousness, give your motor 5000 miles or so to "loosen up"
