This was a V6, pre '07 model. Pulling out of the bank, I was behind him and he purposely slowed down as we entered the highway on ramp. Then he punched it going down the hill and I just let him go, easing up to 60-65mph. When it got to the area where no cops can sit, I dropped into fourth and pulled up alongside him, then dropped to third and hit it a little bit. I thought he wasn't gonna bite, but just as I dropped it back into fourth, he hits it. So now I had to drop back into third and try to recoupe the half car length I lost, which didn't take long. By 110, I had about two cars on him and let off. I was 90% sure at that point he was automatic, but I had to know, so at the light I rolled down the window and he said something like "very nice". He was a good sport and I asked him if he was stick and he just shook his head, probably wishing he was.

 

Nice been wanting to catch one, especially the SER model.

nice race.. i beat a 06 altima ser 5at once from a roll and beat him by a fender. i was stock i only had a intake and atlp exhaust that time

 

Good job. Wish you ran against the manual though, it's more of fair match. If you launch from stand still don't shift to 2nd at 31 mph. It is critical for you to keep in the power band. VTEC engines require high rpms to get rolling.
