Too Good to be true?
I was browsing through Craigslist while i was working REALLY hard today and stumbled on this car. Any one else a little suspicious at the price?

That has to be a misprint! There's no way that's being sold for $2,900.

This is the reply from the lady selling it:
Hello and thank you for question,
The Acura TL with only 52,850 miles is in great shape, no engine problems, damages or hidden defects. It was always garaged and never kept outside. I`m a single mother with 2 children because I divorced with my husband and after the divorce I own this car, I don`t need it and that`s why I`m selling it so cheap. The price for the car is $2900 with shipping included. We will use eBay`s protection program for our safety. I just need your full name and address so i can open a case.(with no further obligation or fees).
Thanks,
Maria
oh well..i was just told by my coworker that because of the "with shipping" its a scam...which is where I was kinda leaning to anyways

- most online escrow sites are FRAUDULENT, operated by scammers
- for more info, do a google search on "fake escrow" or "escrow fraud"

No, that is NOT the way it works. The way it works is that he gets your $2,900 and you get a fake address and little else. In the end, only the fool is parted with his money.

lol typical scam on craigslist. Few months back I found a car with a great price and got a very similar e-mail, I told the lady my dad was a detective in the area (it was posted in Tampa) and that he would come look at it...yup, never received another e-mail frfom them lol

The dude is going claim he's on a business trip in the UK blah blah blah. Those ads are flooded everyday on CL in the bay area. They just want to steal your email address for spam.

I see these all the time. Basically you will e-mail back and forth and when the time comes you are going to be asked to pay via PayPal or something similar and the car will need to be shipped to you yada yada yada. I'm in SE Mass and was looking at an MDX in Westchester, NY (roughly three hours away). I couldn't see the car because it was already ready for shipping and they had it in a container. Supposedly the seller was overseas and there was absolutely no way I could pick it up myself. blah, blah, blah.
