What's the deal with the ride and drives? Can anyone show up and actually test drive the car? Are there typical hours they are open across all locations? Getting to drive the car ~2 weeks ahead of when my dealer would have one would be awesome.

 

ITs for dealers but if you get lucky they might let you.. Ask MaddTL as he got to drive it without being in anyway connected with Honda/Acura, LUCKY BASTARD!

 

I am going to the one in Columbus on the 29th. I know everyone at my Acura dealership,so hopefully they will let me check it out first.

 

Test drove...plus I got a really cool black TL hat and Acura bag..the bag has a liner for hot and cold stuff. It matches my car perfect, now if I can only decide on which car I'm getting.

My recommendation is to dress up a little, look like a salesman and know your stuff. Be very humble and tell them what they want to hear. say your a website, doing an article...they be more than helpful and show you everything about the car. They had a car inside th hotel at Rye Brook, which you can sit in and for as long a you want. It's probably the same guys, all of them were really helpful...too bad I knew more about the car then they did.

 

I would go to the 9/25 showing, but the hotel for DC (Pier 5 Hotel) is in Baltimore, not Washington, DC.

 

I would have settled for the Hat...but did you see the black shirts...thats what i reallly wanted.

 

I will be going to the Columbus exhibit next Monday also and will be sure to take pics for everybone. 2004TL I will need your email address so that you can watermark them for me. What Website should I say I am taking pics for in order to talk them into letting me view/possible drive the vehicle? Thanks guys

I just walked up there.....there were no security guards and i just started taking pictures and talking with them....the big boss man came over and wanted to know who i was and if i was from acura.....i said yes but i didnt mention that i was from acura-tl.com anywayyyyyy he was like....im gonna have to take your film then..... i laughed and he laughed too.He said its all good...thats what we want anyway.....alot of promotion on this car....so go head take all the pics you like....as far as a test drive or ride.... i did not get one because i did not go there with anyone from acura.

 

Just a thought....dont take pics that we have already scene....try and take pictures of the things we cant see in the brochure and get some shots of the details up close that make this car different.... i forgot to get a close up shot of the side markers.

 

I'll do that. Any other suggestions of close-up pics before Monday let me know. I will check back here and make a list before I head out for my road trip. I'm hoping they will have one in Abyss blue since that is what I put my deposit on. Lemme know guys!
