After 5 months and 7700 miles, I'm happy with most aspects of the interior. The leather/seat problems that others have mentioned has not been a problem for me. However, I've taken the TL in a several times for rattles but new rattles are showing up faster than they are being fixed. I never had rattle problems with my Integra. Part of the problem is that the TL is fairly quiet compared to other cars I've had so I hear rattles more easily. Also, my expectations are higher for this class of car. So I have to vote: "below expectations".
Below expectations. The interior quality is good, but not what I expected. I'm starting to notice some rattles after only 2 months of ownership. I owned 3 Audis previously and none of them ever had rattles. Does this make me regret buying the car? No. Hopefully the quality will continue to improve and make this car even more spectacular.
Things have been good for me so far. I'm not experiencing any of the rattle or interior issues that others have been reporting. Close to 4000 miles in just over 3 months so far...only one rattle from the moonroof to report so far (since corrected by dealer).
So, with that said, I voted "good". Since I don't expect rattles or major issues in a car of this class and $$$ (but am willing to accept minor rattles that develop over time and can be easily addressed), it's in line with my expectations so far. Not superb and I don't know what would make me cast a vote like that since I don't expect the rattles to be there to begin with.

I bought the acura because my A6 2.7t creaked and moaned so much and the headliner made a horrible clicking noise. The A4 1.8t, which was supposed to be 30% stiffer than the previous models moaned and creaked over bumps and driveways. The Acura is much stiffer, but still has some rattle issues that I will just take care of myself. After having a total of 5 Audis, I am getting pretty good at quieting down the rattles

Not even good enough for a Civic...
In a Civic I would consider the interior problems barely acceptable, in a $32K TL I find them poor. Too many squeaks and rattles. Leather seems to be sub-standard for this class of car, it is puckering on the bottom back half already and the side is showing wear already! I have only had car 5 weeks and 5 of those days were at dealer with no use. The back deck is of poor desigsn and buzzes under moderate bass. I made a test CD and the service tech tried 4 TLs and each one buzzed, fortunatley my dealer is superb adn worked on the back deck for 2 days and fixed it via some re-engineering and some strategically placed screws. Headliner material seems cheap.

The cheap aluminum strips is the only issue I have with the interior. They scratch and dent easily. I'd prefer wood or more faux wood. I installed a plood kit and am happy that this "steers the eye" away from the aluminum.
Headliner clips poor quality..liner sagging..dealer has new headliner on back order..for me and a few other T/L owners...I believe this will be a problem on all T/L's...If they don't re-design poor clips...........
The easy to ding and scratch aluminum trim is my only beef. Other than that, quality is good. Last week I saw a TL in the showroom with aftermarket Aluminum dash accents on a ebony interior. Looked tacky and too much like Maxima.

Quality of my car is real good. No rattles, no mismatched painted panels. Sheetmetal lines are consistant. The quality of the plastics used is far better then in my previous 1998 TL. The Luxury features are great and work flawlessly. The seats are just awesome and the leather is beautiful. Even my back seats are so comfortable over the old car. Never owned anything but Acuras so that tells you I am devoted.

I only have one squeak at it isn't constant or consistent. It is behind me on the left side but haven't brought it into the dealer yet. I don't seemingly have anywhere near the problems others have had.
Delivered mid March. Only flaw noted to date and on delivery was a paint defect on trunk lid. This was very minor. Everything works as advertised. Interior finish as good as my previous MB. Hopefully long term Acura reliability will be much better. Even the Turanzas and memory seats are OK.
2 places they cut back.
1) The visors now feel very cheap compared to the 2002 TL-S, and what's up with the vanity lights above the visor, the visor blocks the light
2) The leather seats feel hard, much less subtle than the older TL I had, maybe they should have used Kobe beef hide

:chainsaw: Yes, man--I have multiple wife dents from her snap happy seat belt jabbing. Like a blind man just jabbing until in. It looks really bad. She drove my car three time and guess how many dents and none since a month ago when she last drove
speedometer
the canadian speedo shows kilometers per hour
no problem;when you drive in the US with it
the mph numbers are so small and badly illuminated that it is
not readable.
the same is probably true for a US car where the
kmph are not visible.
whoever designed and accepted the design with such
a glaring problem had a bad day.
Any comments?

I've had my TL for less than a week and have to say that Im disappointed with the fit/finish and quality that this car was assembled with. Unacceptable for an Acura. Im surprised that their quality inspections would let cars go in such a condition. The leather looks like "pleather", paint on the rear bumper doesn't match the rest of the car (White DP), clearcoat is chipped at the bottom of the doors, and I have most of the issues that already reside with other TL owners (vibrations, creaking, etc..)...WTF did I pay $35K for??? Dealer is going to get some sh!t from me tomorrow.
re grinding noise-dealer says its in the exhaust - acura is aware and are working on remedy.
careful with the low profile tires - pressure in one tire went down to 10psi
(nail)did not notice (no bulge to the side) and wore tire badly.
