TL's Length...Which is it?

The brochure from the dealer lists the length of the car as 186 inches; both Edmunds and Acura websites list it as 189. Does the brochure have a typo? Who can clarify? Thanks.

i would believe it is 189, the Tl is pretty long and just clears the garage door for me.

I remember we talked this before, and I did the measurement and posted... anyone could do this again?

Edit: It's longer than 186... 189.2 should be right...

If someone could measure that would be great. I'm so undecided on buying (see "Close...But not yet!) I might need something as stupid as this to help me make up my mind. LOL....If it's 186 it's too short! LOLOL

I went out and measured it, and it is 189.2 exactly.

In case you are wondering how I measured, I used a carpenter's level against the rear bumper, put the end of the tape against it, taped the tape to the garage floor, went to the other end, put the carpenter's level against the bumper, and read the mark on the tape, and then went to the other end to make sure the tape had not moved.

The car is actually longer then it appears. I could have sworn my buddies 2000 E430 was longer but after we put them side to side, the TL came out victorous. I believe it appears shorter the way it is shaped.

Thanks Ron! Did you measure from the center of the rear bumper to the center of the front? If so, did the tape travel over or under the car?

From the center of the rear bumper to the center of the front bumper, under the car.

Maybe it shrinks in cold weather, or when it gets wet?
