Tl's Horn Is Too Low?

I may be alone with this, but does anyone think the TL's horn is too low. I drove my buddy's TSX for a while and had to hit the horn for some crazy nut trying to make a U-turn in front of me. When I got back to my TL, the horn didn't sound as loud. Anyone else agree?

I don't know, mine is nice and loud; I use it frequently and have never had a problem with EVERYONE nearby knowing when I am annoyed at someone!

That is really an ironic comment. I have had my TL for 1.5 years and 21000 miles and have yet to use the horn. I should try it just to make sure it works. Thanks for the reminder.

My '04 TL's horn sounds like an American car (thank God).

It's probably that sound-insulating layer in the windsheid, plus the extra insulation in the car, that makes it seem lower. Try it in a garage with the window open.

Put your window down; you'll hear it.

The TL has much more sound insulation than a TSX.

The first thing I usually do when I buy a Japanese car, is replace the horns with some Italian dual-note real horns.

I didn't have to do that on the TL. I DID have to on my Maxima.

In fact, the concert of horn, Brake Assist, and ABS is a smooth song and dance that saved me from some lame beyotch on her phone in a mini-van that decided she wanted to be in my space in my lane a couple of days ago.

You're right. I almost went deaf when I hit it with the windows down.

How do you drive 21,000 miles and never use your horn?

Simple; I have not yet had a reason to use it. Actually, very few people around here use their horn. It's not like New York City where horn blowing is an art form, and is right up there with nose-picking. j/k

Horn is nice and loud. I fortunately only have to use it in downtown Portland.

I purchased a WOLO "Bad Boy Air Horn" for my '94 Civic. Catches people off guard when I need to use it. I sent that wimpy buzzer horn to the junkyard.
