Is this TL worth it?

I'm new to this forum and currently looking for a TL. I came across this TL on craigslist and wonder if it's a good deal? I know its salvaged and all but what do you guys think?

welcome to the forum!

personal opinion? i'd never buy a wrecked car.

it's hard to tell from those pics...but, that was front end damage and it now has a salvage title. depending on state laws, registering a salvaged car is a pain in the ass, also when it comes time to sell the car again, you'll have a hell of a time doing so. that's why this guy is letting it go for $15k.

also in the pics, the interior looks shabby and the car looks like it wasn't properly maintained physically, hoo knows about mechanically.

in closing, i personally would never buy a previously damaged car. something about it just screams NO!

if you're gonna buy a TL, buy the right one! if money is an issue...i'd pick a diff car bc TL's arent the most affordable cars. parts/mods/repairs/labor are all costly. something to consider before you buy one, especially one that has been wrecked.

Salvage title? Hell no! Maybe the price is cheap, but I would rather paid a couple of thousands extra knowing there is no accident history. And forget about reselling a salvage vehicle.

2006, 30K $15,6 OTD? yeah it would be worth it if the car passes a mechanical inspection. I had a 94 accord that was salvaged at 60K and the car now has over 200K on it.

in my area 2006 TL with Navigation and 40K+ miles go for $18,7+ before title taxes etc

i think its a hit or miss when coming to buy salvage vehicles, depending on how bad the accident/history is. i was looking for a TL as well and came across a few salvage 2004-05 TL with only 50k miles for about $11k. Keep in mind that insurance will only cover about 60% of the car's value if it has a salvage title (thats what AAA said at least). So i would not pay more than 60% of the car's value.

good luck!

I would stay away from it with at least a 10 foot pole! The seller obviously went very cheap with the repairs to the car. The front bumper is a replica one (lacks the ACURA logo where the front license plate would attach) and as well it does look like the hood is mis-aligned. Add that in with bad photos that tend to hide any defects and it doesn't look good.

DON'T BUY IT! I would have said maybe until I seen the bottom pics and said OMG!!!! Dont worry too much about having navi, the car is still more loaded then a lot of cars on the roads with or without navi anyway, you could just get a tomtom which has free map updates, or use an android I wouldn't buy it even if it was $5k

I'd buy it if it was 5K! Spend the money to rectify any errors or take some time to part it out and make some good money!

I currently have an 350z and was thinking of selling or trading it in for a TL. These damn 350z's don't hold their value

I only buy salvage cars. You save so much money. Before you buy, just make sure to take a Honda/Acura dealer of your choice and have them do a full inspection of the car. You save thousands like this. I switch cars about every two years, and I never had a problem selling a salvage car. I tell them the same thing...here is the car, its salvage, take to dealer and get inspected. No need to be scared of it. If there is a serious problem, dealer will spot it and tell you (ie half of car was welded to other half). Most salvage cars werent damaged badly. The bad ones are sold for parts, to fix the not so bad ones, lol.

Yea I'd def wait for a better deal to arise on a non-salvaged TL. On the bright side, I will be giving them a call to see if they some parts for a project I have going on. Thanks!~
