U know i've driven a TSX once n it picks up good but lacks the power the tl has

so i was jus wondering which 1 would win in a race....

 

I had one for a rental, that thing has ZERO pickup.

 

I think I put about 10 bus lengths on one. It had a CAI.

 

TL wins for sure unless the driver can't drive.

Ironic sidenote: I have an 07 AV6 5AT and had the opportunity to drive an 07 Accord K24A3 5AT last week and my observation was similar to yours with the TSX: it picks up good but lacks the power the (AV6) has

 

no chance...the TSX will get slaughtered unless it's the TL-P from before 04, which the TSX may win if it was manual

 

tsx probably couldnt even take the TLP...i raced a fully modded one when i 1st bought my 03 TLS(stock) and walked it down easily...it was a manual too

 

yea...the manuals are lucky to get 15.6 so that's why i mean maybe i bet most of the time they'd get owned by the TL

TSX is susposed to be the RSX 4 door so why is it so weak?

i have a 04 TL-P

its not bad but i wish i had a 08 TL-S

Maybe he thinks that because it has the K24, however the entire car is based off the Euro Accord like rp_guy said. The biggest disadvantage this car has is its weight and lack of power. It feels really nimble though. I took the rental on the backroads and it took the turns extremely well!

 

The TSX needed the J30A4/A5 from the AV6 and that was a big mistake by Honda not to offer that engine especially with the 6spd. Of course they screwed up for 09 with the TSX only using the 2.4L 201HP I-4. Again Honda should have used the RDX's engine or the J series V6.

As far as even a TL-P vs a TSX 6spd my money is on the TL-P!

 

Nice idea but, the J30A4/5 would pretty much give the TSX performance on par with (if not better than) the TL. The K23A could have been great for a Type S model though.

 

I don't even know why you had to wonder. I got into a HUGE fight over on the TSX side of the boards because I said it was slow. Got threatened by a few members, haha!

Hey Bread-A Spec just noticed you are from Vancouver too Do you by any chance go to UBC because I've seen a blue TL-S A-spec a few times while I was walking on campus.

 

hehe....when did u c the Blue A Spec???i haven't go UBC for 2 months or even more!!!but last year i always drop my frd off at UBC,from 2007 Oct to Dec!!!

All I remember is that it was a blue A-spec. I saw it when I was walking on East Mall at UBC (the road that leads you to the UBC bookstore and its parking lot). I don't think there are that many A-spec 2nd gen TL's right?

 

On a side note, I finally saw the new TSX in a magazine yesterday. My condolences.

yup! But mine is bonestock besides the strutbar and inspire door sills. I'm still waiting for my rear H bage and front H grille! Hopefully I can convert it to JDM soon.
