TL vs IS300

Someone settle an argument for me with one of my friends...I have the TL and they have the IS300. I know I got a better bang for my buck...what do you guys think?

It isn't even a fair comparison, the TL has the IS300 and new IS350 beat, hands down.

Yeah...I would say I made a better choice. Considering...I'm owning my own home, educated, and investing. Versus the biatch that thinks she's ballin cause she got an IS...but sleeping on the floor of her rented apartment and caught tryin to get my man cause her man can't hold down his "oil changin" sorry excuse for a job...not anything against IS owners...just this one...got that off my chest...sorry for ramblin.

You know you're better off. No need to hold it over her. It appears that her car is all she's got so let her (barely) live with her imaginary wealth.

I chose the TL beacuse it's well balanced all around, and a good size for passengers in rear. My friend chose the IS350 - and his car is scary fast, with incredible handling, and some neat features (programmable tach lights orange then red as nearing redline, cooled seats, etc).

I'm very happy with my decision, and the IS350 comparably equipped would be 8k-10K more.

The IS300 is no competition for the TL....

You can tell your friend with the IS300 to stop smoking the reef. she is definately smokin to much if she thinks the IS300 is better in any way the the TL. the TL is faster and more refined. but the IS350, now thats a different story. That car is no joke!

the prices on used IS's are down significantly within the last 2yrs...but one thing you gotta factor in...IS300 has the famous 2JZ powerplant...slap in a ecu management/GTE block/Turbo and you'll be flying by the TL....

That is true but I dont think these two are going for a mod war cause then i think the TL is out of its league. i was going on Stock vs. stock!

The 300 you could beat for sure... I have done it,

My buddy got the 350 a week ago and spanked on me. Once I put the pulley system, exhaust, and performance chip in I will take back the props!

LOL. According to TL2005Lover, her friend can't benefit from these mods because she barely gets by with rent. So stock for stock, the TL is hands down a better buy.

I had the IS300, and then got the TL. No regrets.

I have an '05 TL auto/navi and my wife has an '04 IS300 auto. I like the TL better and my wife likes the IS better. They both have different strong points, IS handles better, TL is faster and a lot more comfortable and IMO better bang for the buck. But then, I don't go around dragging my car. The IS is a lot quieter going over the paved bricks in my subdivision, the TL is a nuisance to hear the rattles over those and it's only got 4k miles on it. The IS has 21k. Fit and finish on the IS is much better too.
