TL vs G35
Well I am a die hard Acura guy, used to sell them in my previous life, although must confess Infiniti is a close second on my list of Smart reliable cars.
It might look at present as if the 2007 G35 has a edge over the present TL, but beleive me come Oct 2007 things will change big time if the New MDX or the New CRV are any indication for things to come, I expect the 4G TL to be much better looking with loaded features (if they can add any more), and I am sure the price point will remain +/- 1K for each Trim type. I am sure SH-AWD will be standard and S-Type will be a option in next few years, as for the HP i think the envelope has been pushed quiet far already and 300HP should be the upper limit of craziness.
So if you are not in emergent need of a sport Sedan shortly, hold your craving for 1 more year and it will pay off.

The thing is though that the next gen TL probably won't come out until 2008 not 2007. Acura tends to do the Mid Model Change and give that version two years on the market before the Major Model Change.

I have recently changed my tune and find myself in agreement. I will be awaiting the 4G TL redesign as long as it’s got SH-AWD. (Unless I get waylaid by the new Mitsubishi Evo X) Having read all about the new G35 and pining away for RWD I was thinking I’d sell my TL A-Spec and get a G35S 6MT until I drove one (albeit an automatic G35S). It drives quite well and may be faster but it doesn’t hold the road and isn’t as much fun as my TL A-Spec. Even with the interior upgrade, which is a huge improvement, the new G35 is still not as nice as my TL IMO. And last but not least, I am 6’2” and use my TL as a family hauler. There is way less rear seat leg and head room in the G than the TL. My 5’10” son complained immediately when I asked him to try the back seat behind me. The back seat in the G is not much bigger than the 3 series Bimmer. (That’s why the 335i is not even a consideration for me). The only other consideration for me would be the 5 series Bimmer (535) with the 335 twin turbo engine that may be available in 2008 but it will probably be way too expensive. So for now I continue to be amazed at Honda quality and reliability (my wife drives a Pilot) and will continuing being your humble Acurazine member SBTL.
And I’m still waiting for an Acurazine window sticker!...so there mods!
