TL Type S Wheels
Hi all,
Noob here. My father in law just bought (yesterday) a new Silver 2007 TL Type S. Loves the car. Not crazy about the wheels. I will be assisting him in getting some a/m chromes on there asap.
How much can he expect to get for his take off rims (no tires)? As I said it's brand new (10 miles on the car) so they will be pristine condition. They are the "gunmetal" looking color that is standard on the TL Type S's.
Any help appreciated.
TIA

welcome to the forums. imho- you should at the very least get about $800 for all four.

I agree, those wheels leave a lot to be desired. I'd sell the tires with the wheels and then upgrade to a 245/45-17, or if he goes with the 18", 245/40-18.
When I purchased mine, although used, the wheels and tires were virtually brand new, but I upgraded to the Acura 5 bar chrome 17" wheels and purchased the Yokohama S.4 in 245/45-17. The tires and wheels are still sitting in my garage as I haven't made a decision whether to use them in winter, although the car probably will never see inclement weather.

Thanks for all of the quick repsonses.
They are still available.
He (my father in law) is going to keep the original tires and replace only the wheels. He has the new chrome wheels picked out but they take 4-5 days to come in. We should have the type S rims off the car by this weekend or early next week.
I'll pass your info on to him, see how much he wants to sell them (the S's) for and post the info up on here as soon as the chrome rims are in.
Thanks again.

you should prolly take this over to the black market section. you'll get a better response there.
