Just chillen..
No way in chance. Coming from my brother's 03 Harley Davidson F-150, those trucks are quick as hell.
The mods:
6LB pulley
Magnaflows
K&N Intake
ECU reflash
Oil catcher
Boost bypass valve
I sure do miss that truck

TL-S is NOT 265hp as they stated. 2004 TL has 258hp SAE, I'm assuming SAE numbers on TL-S is about 253 or so.

Back in the days when I did not know any better (circa 2000), an SVT Lightning actually drove a circle around me on the NJ Turnpike.
I was in my Accord (F23A - 4AT) with delusions of grandeur regarding the dyno tuning of my mods (CAI/H/E/Pulleys/FPR/VAFC) from whence I was returning when I decided to mess with an SVTL. Cocky Honda driver that I was, I rolled up next him doing 75-ish, glanced over and then "took off" (at least as much as a 4 cylinder Honda with bolts on can). Next thing I know he was next to me in the left lane pacing me, then he pulled ahead effortlessly, then pulled in my lane ahead of me, then into the right lane slowing down enough for me to pass, then circled around behind me, and then took off on me in the left lane. Needless to say, my perspective changed a lot after that occurrence.
If I had a TL-S instead of the Accord F23A, it is likely the same would occur.....only at measurably higher speeds. (same deal with my 02 Maxima as well ) The SVTL is monster. Period.

i will never buy a ford again. in fact... i will walk where I go if Ford is the last car company left on earth and they were giving their cars away for free (whiich they should because of the complete junk they are, anyways). Not denying that the SVTL pickup is a VERY fast truck. Heck, there have been some comendable performance vehicles out of the Ford stables... still. ford is a non-issue for me since II could care less about their products, service, business practices, et all.

Using a 1/4 mile calculator I found on the web, 3558 lbs and 260 hp gives 13.9 sec. 4650 lbs and 380 hp gives 13.4 sec.
Using the same calculator, you'd need upwards of 290 hp on a TL, plus some way to get it really hooked up on the launch, to have a chance against a stock Lightning.
You might be able to get that done by bottle feeding your baby.

my 3rd gen tl w/ sc and cat back smokes my friends lightning w/ long tubes, no cats and cat back, and intake. He weighs 400 lbs LOL but i beat him everytime that we have raced. he can get me out of the hole but then i pull on him by two cars. I ran 13.60's spinning to the sixty and he runs 13.80's. From a second gear roll i pull almost a car off the hop.

It would take quite a few mods on any TL just to keep up with a stock lightning. I have a buddy with an 03 and stock it ran a 13.45, I won't list what all he's done to it, but now he's running mid 12's.
I can almost hang with him on the highway from a punch at 60, but from a standstill my TL doesn't stand a chance.
