TL Type-S Accessory Help!

After reading this forum, I decided to forgo the new TL and got myself a terrific deal on an 08 Type S.

I LOVE the car. One very stupid and unimportant disappointment with the car is the lack of cool Type S badging. I think the only badging is the steering wheel logo, the headrest (which is nice and subtle) and the trunk lid logo.

I have been surfing the web looking for something to bring a bit more spark to the Type S and see pretty much nothing. I was hoping to find maybe some cool custom Type S floor mats, maybe a logo'ed shifter knob, but I cannot find anything.

Anyone have any ideas? I have googled, ebayed, etc.

If you have a 5AT, the Type-S knob from the 99-2003 TL will fit. As for the headrests, you can buy some flexible paint and try painting the embossed portion.

You can buy the Type-S badges and put them anywhere on your car you want. Personally I like the lack of overstatement (except for the headrests, I wish the Type-S logo was a little more pronounced). I enjoy the fact that it's not like the BMW M cars where you have the badging over almost every single body panel and in multiple places inside the car.

Yeah, I know you can buy the little metal Type-S badges, but pretty sure glueing a couple of those to my car will look nothing but ridiculous. I understand the view of the M, but for the most part I think that badging is decent and not overdone.

I think I was most disappointed by the floor mats. They are pretty darn bland looking and there is nothing out there to replace them.

I'd go for some Type S floor mats if someone made them.....otherwise I am happy with the Type S subtle badges...

You can go to Ultimate Pedals and order the aluminum foot rest that has a recess that can be tooled for $10. extra and then purchase the Type S Emblem that goes on the back of the trunk (Part # 75722-SEP-A62) and when you get the pedal, peel off the sticky tape and place in the recessed area on the pedal and now you have a custom foot rest with the S emblem embedded flat in the pedal. There is a thread that shows what it looks like.

Here's my thread on my "Airbrushed Headrests". I am very happy...along with illuminated sills + aluminum pedals. I like the interior.
