Tl + Tl-s

Ok I think this is kind of funny. I got my 04 NBP TL about a year and a half ago. Now my brother is about to turn 16 and today we just went to the dealer and he ended up getting an 07 KBP TL-S. Now in our garages are two TLs!!

You guys must get houses for your 21st B'Days. I would trade yours with mods for the TL-S.

Seriously JT, you like the TL so much more than the TL-S??? Why?

Must be the loyalty to NBP huh?

Darksom i was actually just thinking about that, i was looking at our garages when I pulled in and was like "damn that black looks so much better" so pretty much NBP>KBP. The only thing i like about the TL-S is the paddle shifters and the brembos.

Wow man, when I turned 16 I got the old family minivan to use... it was never mine to own. Anyway, different parents do it differently.

my first whip at 17 was maxima 97, yeah baby

Darksom1, i love MT, love it when I LEAVE the city, It's not fun for me to sit with it in traffic, I already experienced the fun of 5mph for hours with MT for 2 years, thus I went with AUTO...I do use those paddle shifters, their reaction is surprisingly good. The bmw paddle shifters are superb, super fast....M5/M6

Yo Tek, you probably didn't know, and I found out later myself, that in the TL, it won't cut off if you take your foot off the clutch in first gear! What rush hour?

darksom1, I knew that, but it's not as good as 1st gear in bmw/audi.... knowing TL's tranny problems was another sway for me. I don't know, it was a hard decision for me, oh well, auto it is

You lucky in MD you have nice long smooth roads, you can actually enjoy stick. I would love to take a bunch of TLs and go for a scenic drive from NY to MD...should be fun.

Yeah about the paddle shifters, last night I was on my way home and I was surprised on how responsive the transmission was with the paddle shifting

well I got my tl-s for almost a year, I've used the paddle shifters a handful of times, nothing like a true stick shift where you clutch then shift, I find myself tach watching when I use the paddle shifters, with the MT, it is all instinct

You've got much better rims of the two, and my second favorite color. I'd say you both lose if they are automatic, but hey, still better than what I have!
