TL-S vs Chopper

.......no not a helicopter but a motorcycle Harley style. I know absolutely nothing about these kinda motorcycles. it was white, loud, and looked beautiful. he was cruisin with his buddy, his buddy seemed like he had the exact same bike. we took off from a 60 roll. he drowned out my exhaust, intake, and my music that was fully blasted. i thought he was gonna shatter my windows. i pulled on him prolly cause he didnt go WOT but he gradually got louder and by 120 he was at my door. thats when we shut it off, we gave eachother the and went our seperate ways. Its funny cause i saw these 2 guys sunday rippin it up the road

i still go up when ever i get the chance. mad cops still, we usually race on the 91 connector or the southern part of the pike where it ends. this acctually happened right at the end of the pike. i played around with a M3 too, couple of 30-80 runs, he was all confused as to why i was even remotely near him, i was just grinning the entire time.

Frisko, i get about 260-330 miles per tank. thats city hwy and racing combines

Wow.. you get hella good gas mileage. i get like low 200 all city miles and no racing. when i race i get like alil bit lower than 200. damn! do people disrespect your car for racing so much with a automatic? here in CALI.. automatic is crap.

y is automatic crap? ya i would prefer manual or DSG but manual is just a waste especially in cali...on the 405 FW or on the road, basically anytime...well thats my opinion cause i live in the valley and there's no need for manual

here in san francisco, if you drive a automatic. you get looked down on. people that drives manual think its easy to drive automatic and takes no skill to race. they think all u do is floor it.

^ makes it soo much sweeter when u beat manuals. the best part is when its a drivers race and u do a 30 roll. the TL-S will be in 1st gear and the manual will most likely not throw it into first, so u get the advantage right off the bat. this works 99% of the time

lmao....ya it does feel sweet...but you know this new DSG will be awesome when it makes its way in the TLs. its faster than manual...my buddy has a DSG GLi and he took my other buddy who has an 03 330i.

friskoplayer- ya i see what you're saying now, when i was at sf, i saw a lot of manual cars

definitely a good place - that part is really close to u so i guess it makes sense to race there. i raced a c class there when i had my 03. the strip on 84 between the end of 5/15 and the exit for 384 is also a pretty good

i havent really raced anyone with the 08 yet. goin west on 84 some dude in a magnum r/t (maybe u've seen him..red magnum license plate: "HEMI RT") kept gunning it at every opening he saw in traffic..im like this dude is idiot because he was pressin the gas and then braking madd hard..i was laughin at him the entire time...so he pulled next to me and was like wtf..im like u got to be kidding me..so he saw another opening and hit the gas..i was like aight just cuz ur an idiot imma smoke u..i caught up to him in a matter of seconds..pulled up next to him at like 90 looked at him..shook my head at his stupidity, hit the gas and i was gone. no real racing yet..but its fun to show the fools who underestimate our cars whats up.

after being brainwashed in SF. i do feel kinda embarassed to drive a automatic and fix it up like crazy. everyone in SF basically drives a manual ( people that mod their car)..everyone in SF ask when you get a new car? is it stick? is it stick?

not really, DSG i believe has 2 clutches. One clutch is responsible for 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears, while the other clutch controls 2nd, 4th, 6th. So when you are in 1st gear, the other clutch will engage 2nd gear, and when you press the lever/button to shift up, the gearbox instantly engages that other clutch, ie, 2nd gear. This means the shift time is extremely fast.

Yeah I have my car up at school. I haven't been doing much since the beginning of the year. Ive actually been pretty busy and haven't done much around campus. Second week of school I got into a car accident in Newington https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166313 and then for the next like 3 weeks I had a rental and then I just bought the 08 (with the help of my dad) at the end of september. Ive been going to physical therapy and trying to catch up with all of my work since the beginning, and then as soon I caught up I had exams and all that fun stuff so now i'm finally beginning to chill

You guys get crappy gas mileage, lol. I get 24mpg MINIMUM, that's 400miles per tank, but then again I never have a full tank, try to keep it lightweight!

After these new springs I rarely go fast anymore, the car just gets erratic when I floor it, very unstable. It's like when I drop it down a gear and floor it, I get mad torque steer.
