A flush will be a lot more expensive than a drain and fill. Last flush I did at the dealer used 16 qts of Honda ATF. They also get to charge you for using the fancy machine.

i will keep u guys posted...

and yes, dealers try to rip everyone off. but i must say. Acura of Westchester has been good to me so far - they have charged far less than other dealers or non-dealer shops in most cases. they provide a great service!! and I mean GREAT.

i will find out more about this ATF change they did and let u guys know...

on the work sheet with my receipt, it says:

TS Transmission Service
258 CA 0.40 - 40.00
3 ATF-Z1 Fluid - 18.21 ($6.07 each)
1 WASHER (18MM) - 2.18
1 WASHER (24MM) - 3.63

so i figure that's all they did.

This is a drain and fill, not a flush, which uses about $100 of fluid alone. Washington DC area dealer prices are over $200.

Yeah I agree too, check the air filter that it is clean or not. If it isn't than change it right away and see if you feel the difference or not. good luck.

thanks again guys. as u can tell... i enjoy driving cars more than learning about what makes them work. lol but u guys are definitely helping me and I've been reading up on tech more.

so based on the general feedback, u cannot do a FLUSH on a TL - if someone has an exact detailed description of how to flush a TL tranny, then please post it here because I wanna be able to talk to the dealer about this in detail.

thanks

I believe Acura sells one, because my dealer tried to push one on me....Some kind of wheel and tire warranty, as he stated, to protect me against damages from potholes, punctures, blah blah blah (at that time, i wanted him to shut up so i can drive my new baby!) ..Ask Acura, maybe they do sell it....sorry for the lack of details...
