Which TL do you have?

SInce we have so many different experiences on this board, I think it would be interesting to know which year and configuration you have on your TL. I am mostly interested in how many board readers have 2004 vs 2005 models.

Enter your selection in the poll and check the results!!!

The Navigation System with the voice commands adds a whole other level to the Acura TL. Yes, it is more or less just a toy, but it really is nice to have and can become very useful.
To those who are borderline on getting the nav or not... Unless you're really bad at technology and have no patients to learn, rarely travel, or are much more attracted to the TL's performance potential, get the Navigation if you can spare the couple extra thousand (although dealers typically will give you a better deal on a non-navi TL). It's worth it if you ask me...

I agree, the Navi IS very helpful and the voice commands makes it a lot easier espeically since I have a stick. I haven't been lost yet in this car. Much better than printing out driving directions from the internet!

My guess is that most people join up here when they first get their car, but don't hang on and become regulars. If you take this poll again this time in '06, you'll probably find the same kind of bubble on the most recent model.

Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation for the 05 5AT Navi having the most votes is that variety has the most active members.

I tend to agree with this...funny thing is, I didn't find this site until 6-7 months AFTER I bought my TL.

You guys with the automatics are missing out. I can't imagine even owning a TL auto, way to Accord like for me.

6 Speed Percentage Surprising

WOW. I can't believe that 33% of the responders so far have the 6 Speed MT. I read somewhere that total TL 6MT sales were only about 10%. Forum members are obviously more "into" their cars and the TL's performance / sportiness so maybe that's the reason. The AT is still a nice ride but nothing matches the thrill of hearing the TL growl and feeling the accelleration under your control as you glide through the gears from a stop light.

The availability of the 6MT is the only reason we started looking at the TL in the first place and why we bought two!

The 6MT TL rocks!

Interesting

Interesting stats so far. After 254 votes, all configurations are similar in representation in 2005 versus 2004, except the Navi/Auto which has about twice as many people in 2005 than 2004.

One assumption from this data is that the TL became more popular in 2005 with the type of people that frequent this forum. As it became more popular, more people prefer the Navi/Auto combination!?!?!?!?!
