TL differences for US vs Cdn models

This is a list of differences between the US and Cdn models, primarily intended for Canadian readers and potential buyers.

Canadian model:
- no XM radio or micro antenna (real bummer – maybe next years model)
- AV buttons are FM, AM, CD/DVD, Tape (XM obviously excluded)
- no fog lights (DRL instead)
- limited selection of exterior and interior colours
- larger windshield washer container, and a low washer indicator
- speedometer, major scale in kp/h, minor in mph (reverse of US model)
- trip computer measurements in metric
- tire pressure reading in kPa vs PSI in US model
- temperature displays are in °C vs °F for US model
- voice language selection in English/French
- HLF female voice only
- Michelin all season MXM4 on AT

Prices in Canada are currently higher than the US as the Canadian dollar is stronger. Acura does not price adjust based on the exchange rate.

XM is not licensed to broadcast to Canada.
Why no male voice in Navi? Couldn't find a Frenchman?
Do Navi and HFL understand french voice commands?

XM was licensed last month for Canada. Also you can go into the setup menu and change the region from Canada to US which has the male voice and miles, degrees farenheit etc instead of metric.

Yeah, especially if you could hack the navi to make it say different things to you...

Actually, the canadian dollar is weaker than the US dollar, thats why it cost more canadian than US.

The Canadian dollar has been weaker that the US dollar for the last 20 or 25 years, but that is not the point. The exchange rate is currently about .83 cents US to $1 Canadian.

MSRP US for TL/ nav is $35,325
MSRP for same in Canada is $44,800, converted is $37,184

Par would be a conversion rate of .79. Some years ago when the exchange rate was in the low .70 we got the better deal.

- tire pressure reading in kPa vs PSI in US model

I would be so confused everytime I read number on MID *BSh!t

By the way I believe US owners can have french voice in Navi. just go to navi setup(the diag setup) and change Navi ECU to CDN. I changed mine to US so I can get Male and Female voice. I find Male voice is less annoying. Nothing can be donea bout Trip computer MID

According to the websites, Canadian TLs now have the option (for 2006 models) to be ordered with the standard steering wheel, a wood-trim steering wheel, a carbon fibre-look steering wheel, AND a metallic-look steering wheel. I'm pretty sure the metallic-look steering wheel isn't offered in the US.

And for 2006, a beautiful Carbon Bronze Pearl color. Almost like a cross between Desert Mist and Anthricite.

I've seen a similar color on some new BMW 5's. WTF is Acura's problem offering that color in the U.S.?

And by the way, you can forget this color if you want the Dymnamic Navi Package.
DUH !!!!!!!!!

I saw it in person and it's not so beautifull as you may think, because it's only with black leather interior, I think they test this new color on a small market (canada) to see if customer like it

Personnaly, i was disapointed

It's more like brown
