TL die-cast model

Not sure if this is a re-post. But I came accross these on Ebay.

2006 Chinese Domestic Market TL 1/18 Die-cast models - shipping from CHINA. A little on the pricey side.

A little on the pricey side? I'd say very overpriced.

I just emailed the Mfg.. Guangzhou Paudi Model Tech.. and inquired about price / unit.. their english website list them as $123!

They have the TL in SSM & NBP.. not sure about other colors but I inquired as well.. They also have 2G RL, 2G MDX and I believe 1.5G MDX.. same price as well..

I just got the price list from the company.. They're $109 a piece.. if you order 120 pcs or more it's 50% off.. 500pcs is 60% off..

If you guys are interested in doing a group buy I can post up the contact info for whoever wants to lead the buy. They're not in stock right now but the production has not stopped on them. Their catalog says they can come in Red (RRP), Black (NBP), Blue (KBP - not ABP ), and Silver (SSM).

They have a whole fleet of diecasts priced anywhere from ~$80 / pc to ~$140 / pc with the same discounts.

I want

I can respect that it was done the RIGHT way when it comes to die-cast models, but it's still overpriced.

Not feeling the cleared tails, 4th brake light, and it has the 07-08 side mirrors on a 04-06. Come on now

This is how they look in China. This is actually a replica of a Chinese Acura TL, not a US TL.

yeah.. let's do some math..

120 * 109 * 0.5 = $6,540

Shipping ? Custom fees ?

Overall.. they'd probably come out to around $65-70 each to split even.. plus whoever leads the sell would have to take time out to ship these out so tack on a few bucks each.. $75..

It's still cheaper than $140..

Several years ago there was a group buy on these. One of the vendors on here got a deal for us at like $80 or something close to that. A bunch of us ordered them. I got my ABP one..

I'm jealous.. I thought you had a SSM?.. The catalog makes the blue tone TL look more like KBP.. I'm glad it's ABP.

They marketed it as ABP when we bought ours, but then again I don't know if this is the exact same seller. We ended up buying them through a vendor here on AZ that got them from the guy in China and that was back in '07.

No SSM for me..ABP all the way! It was the first color I gravitated to on the lot and I never looked backed.

I just got one from my GF for my birthday this month, and its flawless, i love the detail to everything, including the bottom exhaust system is a different color. (usually just black piping)

It is on the pricy side, but well worth it. Got mine from a local sacramento Acura dealership.

Majofo- maybe you can contact one of the AZ vendors to set up a groupbuy? That's the only way a group buy can be done, otherwise, I would have to close the thread. Thanks.
