I have an Acura TL 2007 color Desert Mist, and really dislike that color and I'm really considering a paint job, any ideas in what could be the best color for this car for your own personal opinion? And if i should do the paint job or not? (Pros and Cons) Or why the reason of showing the mist some love.

keep the DMM, it's a nice color and the cheapest alternative.

haha thats what I was think but not necessarily...I currently have NBP and I chose WDP cause I will never buy a black car again...lol.

 

I like WDP but if you want to repaint your car you might as well do something a little different. Get Lexus or BMW pure white. They look fantastic. Or... get a matte black paint job...

 

You may rethink the paint job once you get a price on the color change with the 3 stage paint, and I'm not talking about a Maaco job.

To answer your original question you are looking at a lot of work and expense to change the color of your car if you want it done right.

 

the car was a gift, be happy with what you got. If you really wanna go for paint, do something unique, something you don't see every day. I am not talking some ridiculous lime green color here haha just a factory non Acura color.

I don't know why you're tripping.. DMM is one of the best colors IMO. You should just be happy with it and mod it to your liking. DMM & RRP are some of rarest colors out there.

 

ABP was changed to Royal Blue in MY 06.

that's what I said too, some OEM color from a different auto maker. Alpine White TL would be nice, I don't know if anything can be whiter than that. Haven't seen a yellow car in a while...

 

I think a repaint would hurt the resale value. I would stay away from it wondering what was wrong with it that it needed painted. Unless the price was dirt cheap, I would pass on it.

Yeah good paints jobs are damn expensive. I'd definitely try to get a color that would stand out if your spending the cash.

None of the above on the poll, too many hot colors, pearls/candies etc no way i would spend all that to look like its stock.

 

I had an '04 DMM and the color's really not bad at all. Easy to keep clean and it helps keep you from blending in with the other bazillion TLs on the road.

 

Ha ha, I didn't even notice it said best color. I mean, I read it, I saw it. For some reason I processed it as "what color is your car".

wdp and nbp is the best colors. it stands out more than the other. in my opinion the antarctic metallic is too plain and not that great looking.

 

I just saw an article in the paper last week that said Silver is the most popular car color. Then White, then Black. But the Redondo Red Pearl is a slick color and very rare in our community.

 

i stay try the Sundance Gold Pearl from the CL (so it's a factory color), but a QUALITY paint job will cost a pretty penny, like at least $4-5000 especially if they do the engine bay too, to match

I agree...if you're gonna paint you might as well go custom. I have had 3 TLs all in Blackhawk Night Pearl & obviously love it. IF they had a true bright white I would have considered that....I personally do not like the pearl tone. Post pics when you're done!

someone else on here has this color handsom hustler and it looks nice. Or get something like slirrys car aka anthracite bottom and black top costed him 2g's. I would personally keep it, you can always make a car look good thru mods. My stock anthracite tl looks like garbage without the front lip/spoiler/tints/tails/headlights/front grille...blah blah blah

 

IMO its NBP > WDP > KBP > all other colors
