TL Build Dates...
New TL Owner here..
The title for my TL has a date of April 26th 2005 and the side door panel says 4/05 - I'm assuming this is the production completion date.
I picked up my TL 8/24/05 - Does this mean it sat in the lot in boston for a few months, or do they hold the car at the factory for a while?
Any info would be appreciated!

It means that the car has been sitting at the lot for a bit of time. Cars are generally shipped shortly after they are produced. Acura makes no money on cars that don't get to the dealer. I had to special order mine back in 3/04. It was produced in 4/04 and I took delivery in early 5/04 a few days after it arrived at Acura of Boston. The TLs may not be selling as fast as they did when they first came out or the color combo you bought may not have been as popular.

I bought my WDP TL 2 weeks ago and it's build date is 07/2005. They told me that it had just showed up at the dealership, I guess they were telling the truth. One of the few times that when a dealer's lips are moving they are'nt lying to you.

buildtime
I ordered one that was being built three weeks from time of deal with dealership.
Car was built one day before estimate, and arrived at dealer a few days later on a friday. I had to wait till a tuesday, since I was getting some dealer installed options ( deck lip, side moulding,.........) and it was a holiday weekend.
When I picked it up on a tuesday, there were 1.9 miles on the odometer. Cant get a newer car then that Because car was presold, and dealer was going to pay no interest on car sitting on lot, got an extremely great deal, and dealer was happy to presell a car. I basically got the car for invoice price. Dealer I supposed made their money on the holdback. All in all, good for me and good for dealer.
Much regards flatfoot
