TL 6MT vs. Neon SRT4
I'm sorry for posting a loss but you can't win them all. This a story of a little TL that couldn't beat a Neon
Roll race from 2nd gear and I got EMBARRASSED!!! lol from the time it took me to reach 3rd gear he was like 3 cars ahead I pulled up next to him and asked if he was running a little extra boost, the guy smiled and said "a little extra" lol cool dude and a wicked fast Neon!
Shit I need a turbo but 6g's is out of my league
Ihatecars - I need your car for about an hour lol

he wasn't stock thats for sure. You guys would have been neck and neck if he was stock. I had a similar loss like you when I raced a SRT-4 stage 2. From a 45MPH roll to about 70MPH he had me by 2-3 cars easy! that where my car shines too lol. those little SRT-4s are crazy fast!

LOL jp. Yea those little SRT4s can be fast with hardly any mods, similar to the WRXs. I had one at DPA that was packed out and still slightly pulled on me! Good loss tho, they are very torquey too! If it was a 3rd gear pull it might've been a lil closer but minimal mods to those things and they can be beasts.

Before my son had his Altima, he used to run is 98 Civic and always seemed to run agains SRT4s.....getting smoked routinely. This was the main reason why he went FI with the Civic. It's really too bad the turbo kit made soup of the D16Y8...it definitely had the potential to return the favor to the SRT4. (He still gets beat at the track by SRT4s -- in his 3.5SE -- but the margin of defeat is fairly close now.)
More towards the topic, the Neon based SRT4 was one of the best bangs for the buck during its time (as was the 03-04 Cobra at its peformance level).

My launches could be better lol I think my best 60' was like 2.25 so I have room to improve. One reason is grip, I had crappy all season tires that didn't hook up worth shit! I know I could squeeze out at least a 14.2@100 I'll go back to the track in November and see what I can do.
I just want to match sonnicks time before he sets a new record lol but I'll need CAI and J-Pipe to do that

My best 60' was a 2.247, basically dead on. We both have room for improvement, so let's do it!!
Oh..and kudos for posting a loss

- Yours is automatic with tall gears.

Turbo is the last thing I will be doing to my car after all the boltons are complete (and i save up enough). Then it will be more exciting to race cars like that.
Its all about having fun whether u win or lose. Both drivers had a good time.

Oh it was fun tho, the maserati was on the highway and he was gaining right from the get go. The lambo was jokes, It was a second gear pull for me starting at 70km/h and he was with his son having a blast when we were pulling eachother to try and start it lol He started in 3rd and stayed beside me the whole time till 170km/h then he started pulling me hard.

Oh Im completely aware of how much its going to run me. I could have it done this winter but Im not dipping into my savings to put a turbo in my car, theres no return value for anything you do to a car. Been saving ever since I had my first job... not for a turbo tho. Thats going toward a down payemnt of a house.
