Tire fitment question, need help ASAP!

I'm dropping off my TL today to get the A-spec installed and want to know if a 245/40-18 will fit with no rubbing with the lower stance? The standard 235/40-18 leaves a little to much rim out for my tastes and from past experience I would rather have the extra protection. please advise. the dealership says they'll put on whatever I want.

I have 245/40-18's but not the A-Spec suspension. No rubbing at all and I have no reason to think it would rub if lowered 1". In fact, I plan lower it one day.

I don't think it would be a problem, although you'd be throwing off the speedo a bit.

the differences in tires woud be

235/40-18 = 9.6" wide 25.4" tall

245/40-18 = 9.8" wide 25.6" tall

I believe the aspec is about 1" lower so those that are already lower, what do you think?

That site has a lot of good information. It does all the math for you, including how much your speedometer will be affected by the extra 10mm.

In your case, there's a .82mph increase in your actual speed vs. what your speedometer reads.

Oh, and according to the calculator, the widths are actually 9.25 vs. 9.65
