Tinting in the NYC/Lower Westchester Area
Now that I finally have a day off from work, I would like to get my windows tinted tomorrow. (10/10) I live in the bronx very close to the westchester county border. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking to save a few dollars, but not trying to go cheap, if ya know what I mean. Thanks

Window Tinting
Not to sound like an advertisment, but these guys are honestly the best. I was reffered to them by the 3m company because they were the closest tint shop that installed the 3m colorstable film. This Film contains no metal so it will not interfere with our navigation or Xm Radio. The owners name is Phil and he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Give him a call and I am sure he will be happy to help you. I drove to NJ from Long Island and it was worth the drive. Just a little FYI...he does work for so many Celebs I can't even remember them all (NJ Nets, Tyson Becford, lil kim, Etc, etc, etc). The Day before I got my windows tinted he did all the tinting for the cars on a 50 cent video. His prices are VERY resonable even though he does work on top model cars including Vipers, Porchea (both were there at the smae time as mine) along with ferraris, bentleys, lambos, etc. sorry for any of the spelling mistakes, it's been a long day. Here is his Info
Top of the Line Tint
Owners name is Phil
180-a route 46e Lodi NJ

Phone:973-745-0400
Mobile: 201-401-2530
(I pulled out his business card for the info, I do not work for them)
(Tell him Cliff w/the Silver Tl that sells dental supplies recomeded him, I don't know if he will remember me, but it's worth a shot)

I have heard nothing but good things about these guys. If you check their gallery they have done tl's before along with a bunch of luxury cars. let us know who decide to go with.

Window Tinting
If I remember correctly it was $220 but this was for the 3m color stable tint that I spoke about before. (*added bonus- tint will not fade since it is not made with any dyes, there is also no "gap" from the edge of the window) The regular tint was considerably cheaper. He also does moleskin instalation to protect the film. he told me that he didn't think it was necesary, but offered to do the 2 front windows for free! I would probably recommend this since I have a few scratches already! (common problem with TL's) I called him and he said that it's no problem and to just bring it in. Definitly a great person to do business with.

Take a drive down. I would be interested in what you find out, since I still am considering the possibility of tinting my 05 tl. only to the legal limit.

nautica, where in bronx are you? I'm from riverdale. I know a place on Dyckman street where it is pretty cheap. I had a titanium tint done, but it's expensive...they also do cheaper tints around 140 or so

How does it look with the 35% fronts and the 20% rears? I thought about doing that myself, but have had a few friends tell me to go with the same tint all around.

I'm in Pelham Bay, right near the park.
I've seen all the places around me that have the signs for $99 tint jobs, but I want something quality, but don't want to pay thru the nose. Earlier in the thread someone had mentioned Lorenzo's in the Bronx, they do an excellent job, but charge in the neighborhood of $500, something I'm not willing to do, because after all it is just tint!
I'm thinking somewhere in the range of $200-$250 would work for me.

I live in Yonkers just over the bronx border. I got my tint done with moleskin at Lorenzo's for $325.00. Without the moleskin would've been 250.00 but i didn't wanna take chances. SO whoever told you 500.00 is just lying to you.

Hey guys,
I stopped by Top of the Line Tint today and they gave me a quote for $275 without moleskin and $350 with moleskin. I asked for 35% for the back and side windows. What do you guys think? Has anyone here called or talked to them recently and gotten a better quote??
Thanks,
Derek

Whats Up. I need some help... quick! I want to put tints on the TL but I don't know what to do about the moleskin/scratching issue. Top of the line tints told me with their 3m tint (which is supposedly scratch resistant) it wouldnt be necessary to apply moleskin... But I dunno... im skeptical to that.... Any advice?

The place on Dyckman is pretty good but lately ive been going to this place on 10th Avenue between 212th & 213th st. Its a sound place called Quisqueya Auto Sound, but they got these 2 guys there that are real good, and at a very reasonable price. Theyve done all my previous cars including the windshield on my old civic. Check em out.
