Tinting in Austin
Anybody from Austin got their car tinted? What kind of tint? How much did you pay? From who? How satisfied are you with the tint place? Thanks in advance.

If they're still there... Eclipse Window Tinting on Pond Springs. I had a few Mustangs done there in the past and all were great. I don't recall what kind of tint, but they'll do any percentage you want. If darker than legal... they'll do it stickerless and receiptless too.
Otherwise, call Classic Honda in Round Rock and ask who they use. Whoever they were, they did a great job on my Si. They were within legal limits and the car still looked dark as hell.
Whatever you do, don't go to Mother's. They don't know what the heck they're doing.

Thanks for the reply, BlackSunshine. Anyone else from Austin would like to share their opinion/suggestion? I'd like to get my car tinted soon, before it gets hotter here.

Suntint did a VW GTI for me. They did a good job but you have to pay extra for them not to put little add stickers in the bottom corners under the tint on the front windows. Also I would never go back to them if I stilled lived in Austin. While they were bringing my car around to fix a defect they installer got into a head on fender bender with another SUV in their care. It cost them around 3k to fix the 3 mph accident with no structural damage other then the bumber. I would have expected them to comp. me the window tint after that freaking hassle.
