Does anyone have a suggestion for tint in the Twin Cities area? All the shops I have called so far do not know anything about mole skin. I was even told that the 2006 TL's do not need mole skin! Any help would be appreciated.

Any other issues I should be concerned with when I am choosing a tint shop? Thanks-

there is a guy in white bear lake that does tint with lifetime warranty. however, I don't know if he has moleskin though.

look him up - Dave Matz.

Try Autovisions in Eden Prairie. Expensive but I've always had good results. He didnt know about the moleskin until I told him. (2 years ago) He'll charge extra for the moleskin. One last thing, I have a small scratch on 1 window from top to bottom even with the moleskin. The others are fine.

another in Savage - Gjerde's tint shop or something like that. but I don't know if they have moleskin.

I didn't know there is a tint shop in EP. good to know.

Another thought... do I have to worry about the shops messing up the door panel?

Seems like most of the shops around here use Lamaar or Formula 1 tint. Considering where I work I have been looking for 3M tint. Any comments about what is best? Thanks!

Got mine done at Sun Control in Brooklyn Park/Maple Grove. They do the tints for Buerkle Acura. It ain't cheap though. $349 for Pinnacle Formula One ceramic tint.

You can try my buddys shop. Midwest Auto Salon in Apple Valley, the person who does there tint use to work for Ziebart in Bloomington

I'm a 3G in MN. Oh and I've heard really good things about the tint place in EP if it's the one near 169 and valley view.

I have an appointment at Auto Visions in EP in the morning to get 28% solar guard supreme(?) tint put on and the custom cut clear bra. Once it's on and properly set I'll get some pics and post them in a new thread.

Oh and this place knew about the moleskin. Infact he pulled out a role of it. He does charge extra for the moleskin though. $60 extra I think.

I had my tint done at Sun Control too and they did a great job. I had my old car done at ziebart and was terribly disappointed. The rear window along the top looked like crap and now (6 years later) the 20% that i had put on looks like 95% and has a blue tinge to it. Very disappointed with Ziebart. The tint Sun Control put on seems to be holding up very well and looks good. Just an FYI, I also went to the one in Brooklyn Park. That's who my dealer recommended.

I got the tint and custom cut clear bra on. Both look great! I am sooooo happy with both especially the tint. My car looks so sexy now. I'll put up pics once it's set properly. May take a little longer as its f'n cold!

Hey Spiritman, have you had any problems with your smoked tails in MN? I thought that was illegal in MN, so that's why I haven't thought about doing it. Let me know. I think smoked tails on a NBP looks cool as hell, but don't want to give the cops another reason to pull me over.

You are right! It is illegal in Mn. But "Thank God" I have never had an trouble with this....

Sorry to get off topic but there are not many MN people that I know of so i'm posting this in the few MN specific threads for more exposure.

Ok, MN peeps go to this thread to talk about an MN meet.. Since no one else was trying to get something going I decided to ante up this time and get a happy hour together somewhere we can see each others cars.
