Tint TLS front windshield or not
Here in NJ state inspection is just emissions now, no more checking your lights etc so if you have a broken headlight? PASS Bald tires? PASS Tinted windows? PASS Here's the catch: When state inspection involved "Safety" items you would fail & could not get a valid inspection sticker until it was corrected. So now you pass & leave the inspection facility with faulty equipment & guess what? Cops are now sitting on every highway waiting for you & there's no forgiveness. If you had tint at the inspection station during a safety check you would fail forcing you to remove it in order to get a valid sticker. Now with inspection changed you can do what you like, in fact NJ state wants you too! They want $$ from fines when the police stop you. You'd have to be nuts to tint your front windshield here in NJ because you'd have fines coming out your ass. My friend is a cop & the word from town mayors is: NAIL EVERYBODY for equipment violations, towns are broke & need CASH. Cops are looking for even the stupidest violation. Here on Rte 23 in north jersey basically in every town you drive thru you'll see at least one cop parked on the side of the roadway using radar/laser & looking for any equipment violation to stop you. This is their new cash cow. Rte 287 in north jersey? Don't even think of coming thru here with tinted windows. Yup, the cops are all parked on this highway while burglaries are out of control in the towns.
