Tint question
Tint question
I realize there's already a thread about tinting, but I'm a bit retarded and can't find it.
So I'm trying to get my 07 NBP TL-S tinted. I'm thinking 15% in the back and 35% in the front. I'm in California, so I realize front tint is a no no. My buddy talked me into the 35 % in the front, since that's what he has. He convinced CHP that the front tint is stock and he darkened his back windows to 15%. Well it worked. Either the cop didn't give a shit or was stupid...good enough for me.
Anyway, I recall reading about moleskin and making sure the guy tinting my windows doesn't cut or remove weather stripping...can anyone enlighten me? I just need the straight facts on what to know before tinting.
Thanks!

Can you guys fill me in on this? Whether stripping in the back window or front, or where? I am getting tints as soon as I fix my car, But is there anything I should let him now before I drop it off. Thanks
We are talking about the weather stripping in each door and the window glass goes between. Some detailers have cut this weathering stripping and it also more road noise into the car. The moleskin is suppose to protect the tint from any scratches caused by the weather stripping getting dirt in it. Hope this helps.
