Tint pics? 50/30
#42
Hey skads,
I live in Montreal and had my tints done by these guys: http://www.dr-tint.com/
They have pictures on their site with 50/35, even one on a 2007 CSX just to give U an idea. In the picture, the difference isn't drastic between the two percentages. Take a boo.
I had them put on 35% on all 4 doors ('cos I'm not too crazy about having the difference between the front and rear doors) and 20% on the rear windshield. Having said that, almost immediately, I got pulled over by the Montreal police for having my fronts too dark. They gave me a ticket saying I had to have it removed within 48 hours or else I had to pay a $400 fine. I had to go to a centre where the ticket said to go to & recognized by the police to have it removed. I had to pay almost $100 to have it removed, have the ticket signed by the centre and then go to one of the precincts to get it verified so that I wouldn't get hit with the $400 fine.
Anyway, now I've been rollin with no tints on the fronts for a while, and really not liking the way my car looks, I'm making an appointment to get 50% put on next week (especially after reading this thread). My friends have 50 on the fronts and had no problem, knock wood. I've see a lot of car in Montreal with darker tints and I envy them for that, but I don't want to have go through all that again.
I'd go 50fronts/35backs/20rear.
Hope this helps.
