Tint over Tint or just remove original
The WDP/Taupe Type S i bought had what I think is 35% tint all around. I want to keep the 35% on the sides but make the back closer to 20%. Should I just have the old tint removed and put on 20% or add another layer of tint over it to achieve the same darkness as 20%. If so, what % to add over 35%. Thanks

remove the 35 and then apply 20% and some moleskin to prevent scratching. FLNSX is a vendor for moleskin here.

if u wana take it out easy you can try this. On a hot day spary windex on to the tint and then leave it for 30 mins and cover it so that it doesn't evaporate. it should peel in one piece. I did it on my accord. Stupid shop wanted to charge 60bucks just to remove it.

just have your tint shop remove the old tint for free...most will do it since you are gonna pay them $150-$200 for new tint, unless you go to some stingy owned one that wants to charge for everything. My tint shop removed my front tint for free when I got my tint ticket and then I retinted with them.
