which tint to do?
I know there have been many threads on tinting. I would just like a little more feedback.
I am in NY and basically have decided to go for either the HO at the art of tint (tom) or go with the formula 1 tint.
WHich would you guys recommend? WHo is good at installing formula one in the Long Island area?
Finally, how dark should I go with HO and F1? Tom said he only does 40% HO now which seems like it will be too light. Your thoughts?

Navi or non-Navi? The reason for the question is to help decide between a Metallic or Ceramic based tint film. As far as the darkness is concerned, that would depend on what the legal limit is (if that matters to you) and how dark a tint can you/do you want to live with?

In florida with a navi system I got non metallic on the back window and it's been perfect. I got some kind of gun metal 18% tint all around.
It's pretty dark and the lowest I could find unless I got a special order or went limo tint.

i have a navi so I need to go non metallic. This leaves only f1 or OH.
I found a local dealer here who will do OH but only goes down to 40%
I can't find anyone who did F1 or any dealers in the New York area.

I think HO's darkest film is 30% and F1 Pinnacle is 15%. Don't Forget to factor in the factory tint, rated at 75%. Or you can go with 3M CS Film
