This has been covered a lot and will probably be moved into the 3G general section of the forum. Now, will it make the car look nicer is a subjective question. Some people like it, some people don't, but I think it's fair to say more people on this forum like the looks of having their windows tinted than not having them done. So I say go for it!

One has to ask; what is the main purpose of tint?

tint is mainly used to reject heat.
a side effect of that is, it makes your car look awesome!!!!!!!

there are many brands of tint.
there are more than one kinds of tint.

Do you want to hide from the sun?

do you want to hide from people looking in?

do you want to hide from the po-pos?

since you're in the armed services, do you want to conceal your AR-15s!?

Recon, many thanks for your service.
And for that, I'll answer the question sincerely.

When I first got the TL, I kinda liked how clean it looked with no tint. Had that slightly bluish hue to it and could see everything inside. But honestly, once I opted to go for it, I was very happy. It really made the car look more "clean" from the outside to not see all the little details etc inside the car to mess with the flow when you look at it.

Plus, I'm in Florida and it's hot as ballz down here. So tinting is pretty much a given for us.

Of course it will make your car look bad because you'll only have one tint. Now if you got tints then that would be a different story.

Mr. Recon, now that we have established that you want tint, it is your job to research the kind of tint and what is available in your town.

Since i'm bored at work. I'll give a little run down.

there are essentially 4 types of tint.
1)dyed
2)metallic
3)ceramic
4)carbon

Dyed is the cheapest option, as its just film that has been dyed a dark color.
it will usually fade over time. you've seen those faded purple color tinted windows!?!?!?

metallic/ceramic/carbon all get grouped into the same category.
these will be your higher end materials. and will be priced accordingly.

Because of the area I live in, the TExas HEAT isnt a joke.
I chose to go with a ceramic tint, called Huper Optik. it is pricey. but also offers the best in heat rejection and UV reflection
