Hello all!

Getting ceramic tint in the am. Being located in Nor Cal we have all kinds of restrictions about the front side windows.

My plan is this:

back and rear sides 30%
front sides 50%

CA law is 70% max on front glass, but in looking around I see many with this combo. Would prefer 30% all around, but dont need a senseless pullover for something preventable.

Thoughts? Ideas? (besides move?)

That is the combo that I'm thinking of doing since RI is also 70% max. There are a few cars with this combo and it serves the purpose.

You guys are lucky. NY's law is 70% all around. They don't generally break your balls at 35 though so that's what I'll probably go with. What's it cost roughly to get a TL done with non-ceramic these days?

Dunno the law but, 15% all around and loving it.....cops here roll around with limo tint and even the front windshield tinted

wat he said! lol i live in LA and got 15% all around and cops 95% of the time dont give a crap. Now if they pull you over for no reason just to check you out and cant find anything they might ask you to roll up your windows to see if you got tints or not.

I also dont have a front license plate which they also dont care about most of the time.....we got too many problems in LA for cops to be pulling everyone over that has tinted windows or no front license plate.

KEEP IN MIND ALL CARS HAVE 70% tint on a "clear" window when they come off the line. Thats a fact so if u put 50 35 20 5% tints ur cutting whatever is already there by a heavier amount. i got 20% everywhere and when i get checked my side windows are 9% and windshield is 12. Its because windows are tempered and the plastic thats fused to the glass tints it. so if the law is 70% u have to leave it the way it is. In FL the cops have 5% on the windows front back windshield i see them all the time, u cant even see them in the cars.

I have 20% on my fronts and 5% on my rears... Needless to say my tints read much lower than those numbers because that's ontop of the factory tintled glass

anything lower than 30% isn't really worth it. I got that straight from the dealer and wish I had told them to go lower or i should have done it at a private place. You can still see in very easily.

12% on the windshield that is ridiculous. I guess you are lucky that you live the in bright city that you do.

I cut the rubber off.... but after that the road noise level went up a lil bit.... soooo since Im particular with noise n sound I put dampener in all the doors and the level went down below what it was to begin with.

Laws in vancouver =

NO tint allowed past the shoulder of the driver aka not even 99% tint on front windows lol but limo allowed on back ones

i have 5 all around, found that out yesterday when i got my first ticket in the TL.
