Timing belt kit service done today

i just had my timing belt service done today. i ordered the kit from one of the acura vendor on this site. it came with the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, adjuster, and com belt.

i had the service done at a local shop. the belt still looks good, probably could have gone for another 2 years or 20-30 miles easily, imo.

i have an 04 auto with 123k miles.

oh....i didnt notice any difference in driving after the service was done.

just sharing my experience

Any fluid changes, considering a change in ATF, apparently many Aziners recommend Redline ATF. I want to try it out since I notice a bit of a lag on shifting gears from R to D.

yeah, did all the fluid change. used redline atf D4 as most suggested. (i didnt want to try the racing fluid type F until people get more mileage with them, so maybe i'll switch to type F next year). i also did the switches for 3rd and 4th gear at 105k miles.

i personally didnt notice a significant difference....maybe its all in the mind thing :-/

people overhype the timing belt thing but yeah it should be done around the 100k mark. Atleast once it's done your good for another 100k at which point you probably won't have the car anymore.

Well I notice a huge lag when shifting from P to D to R. and when shifting on the highway, plan to change the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches. Ugh so much to do, I want to get it all done already, my school needs to hurry up and refund my money.

Yeah, I've noticed that, Aziners do make a huge deal out of it, but its a good thing to get it done a soon as possible so you can have that peace of mind.
