time for new rotors and pads. what to get?
my rotors are warped and i need new pads for my 04 5AT tl. i like the look of cross-drilled and slotted rotors. i do not want a big brake kit upgrade but rather quality pads and rotors. im just your average driver and im not racing my tl. i just prefer the look of these type of rotors.
i will be using hawks ceramic pads for the front and rear based on user reviews for less brake dust and a quality product. however, are these pads known to squeak? i will probably order from tirerack.com unless someone has a better place to use.
for rotors, i found this site http://brakeperformance.com and they have cross-drilled and slotted in black and silver. anyone have experience with this companys products?
thanks

You are asking for trouble like you cant believe
Other members have found that cheap blanks with fancy drill patterns etc that were never designed to have that done will work for a while BUT within a year will develope stress cracks and you buy a real set of rotors then.
Looks are great if you trailer your car to shows and it never sees real braking use

ROTORA Slotted Rotors are an excellent OE replacement. Many AZ members run them. You can see more info and pricing here:
Developed with the same parameters as the Original Equipment (OE) specifications in both quality and finish, Rotora’s direct replacement brake discs are assured to meet and exceed all vehicle manufacturers’ specifications and tolerances under the worldwide ISO 9001 quality standards. CNC machined and balanced for optimum performance, Rotora’s brake discs feature special segmented slot, or drill & slot pattern which is applied to the disc’s front and back surfaces to ensure maximum heat and gas dissipation for greater stopping power and minimize warping and cracking caused by repeated, high stress, high temperature braking. With an “e-coat” (black) plating finish as an added protective layer to reduce corrosion and prolong disc life, Rotora’s brake disc quality guarantees top performance and longer durability.
