Tilt Mirrors Question

A friend of mine was surprise that only the left of my side-view mirros tilt down
when I put the '04TL A/T in reverse.

He has a VW Toureg and says both tilt down on his. This makes sense to me
as I look in the right mirror sometimes, but it is not down, only the left.

Is this right or is something broke? Bug or feature?
Couldn't find anything specific about this.

That's normal

From what I've noticed is that whichever mirror you have selected like you're going to adjust it is the one that moves. Try it when you're in your car next time. Switch it over to the right. I wish both did it too...

No doubt. Which ever you select on the adjustment settings is the one that tilts. I just make sure that the one I need is selected like when I am parking against a side walk or etc. You have to place the car in park to switch them as an FYI.

Enjoy!!!

you dont have to put it in park ... at least not for 6MT ... u can switch in reverse. The one that was previously selected will return to its normal position then the other one will tilt.

Someone doesn't like it tilted, some ppl like to tilt both side at the same time. Bascially, one side will be good enough for me especially for street parking, the tilted mirror might just make me lose the direction in some occasions.

If parking into the moving deck in the parking lot, I may need two tilted mirrors down at the same time to prevent my rims getting scratch, otherwise, I have no idea why I need two sides tilted together. Perhaps, big SUV is good candidate to have it.
