Throttle Pedal Spring is Very Heavy

Ok I tried a few searches and ended up with gas mileage threads. Not what I was looking for. I recently took my car in (07 TL-S) to get checked out since it is still under warranty. They gave me a 09 TSX and a couple of things I noticed right off the bat is the gas pedal is so much light to the touch than ours. The gas pedal on my TL seems to have a very strong spring which requires more force than I am used to applying. Is there a way to lighten the spring? 2nd the steering on the TSX was very light and quick. The TL feels heavy and slow. Could this be a weight issue? I can't believe the extra 300-400 pounds of the TL would cause this. The dealer gave the car a clean bill of health.

your car is fly by wire throttle- was the tsx cable or wire operated?
The TL may have a heavier return spring to give some feel and correct input to the computer on how much throttle you are requesting

Never hurts to clean the TB air plate in its throat- the smog system pumps partially unburnt fuel and oil vapors from the valve cover right to the TB inlet- soaking the critical air plate- it opens when you ask for throttle and sludge delays it

Remove rubber snout tube from air cleaner to engine= look inside the TB at the 3 inch round plate closing the thing off inside
gen3- spray outer side then have helper turn key ON-not start- that forces the plate to open and close in a self test- allowing time for you to shoot carb cleaner on the edges and back of it
repeat until clean- wipe up runoff!!!
Be sure all hose clamps are put back on tight on the snout and airbox cover

an 07 is ready for seafoam the gas and intake manifold-start at 15k miles then every year forever--makes car run like new

the TL is Touring Luxury
The TSX is Tight Sexy Xtreme--tighter ratio steering, different suspension geometry and center of gravity
