What are the colors people on the boards abbreviate to shorten up?

NBP = Nighthawk Black Pearl

What are all of the color combo's?

I have the Polished Metal Metallic.

Anyone care to share so I don't feel like an idiot when people are talking colors?

i dont think that is an actual color. i think most names have a "pearl" in them.

WDP - white diamond pearl

CBP - carbon bronze pearl

KBP - kinetic blue pearl

and so on...

 

The 2008 Manual Lists:
White Diamond Pearl
Polished Metal Metallic
Alabaster Silver Metallic
Nighthawk Black Pearl
Royal Blue Pearl
Moroccan Red Pearl
Bold Beige Metallic
Carbon Bronze Pearl
Kinetic Blue Pearl

Guess I should have just reached for my brochure first.

YUP, Polished Metal Metallic is definitely a color

 

alright, i take back my first statement. i had no idea that color existed. i dont think i have seen anyone on here with that.

 

Some others that have been used over the years:

DGP = Deep Green Pearl (discontinued in 2005, IIRC)
RRP = Redondo Red Pearl
ABP = Abyss Blue Pearl (the original blue)
AM = Anthracite Metallic

In 2008 I think Anthracite is called Polished Metal Metallic.

Or am I not getting it? I bought the polished metal metallic.

 

PMM = ANTH really?

 

They look really similar. I think PMM is a little darker and an improvement in the formula.

 

Is it just me, or are over half of the 2004-08 TLs Dark Gray? (Not sure the official names for each year.) Is there a list of the build allocation of colors for each year anywhere? Would be interested in seeing this for TSX, too...

PMM was the grey color for 2008 3.2L TL's

What the hell is BBM ?? Is that the old DMM (Gold) Color from the 3.2L ?

 

Bold Beige Metallic ?? ?? Unless this is the new name for gold, then

 

Nicest color on the tl has to either be AM or WDP... that theres no doubt about

 

Bold beige is a darker, almost bronze-ish gold that was available for the 07-08 after Desert Mist was discontinued for 06

 

let not forget NBP its nice too
