Thought I would give back.
I bought my certified 2004 TL 2 months ago. I bought it at Precision Acura of Princeton, NJ. They had the best price. I wasn't real happy with the after-sale response though. I e-mailed the 2 salesmen a couple of times without getting any responses.
I have been frequently using this site for info and learning how to do things. So I thought I would share what I had learned with my car. I have been dealing with Piazza Acura of West Chester PA and I have been happy with the service I have been getting there. I had 3 recalls completed, 3rd brake light cover replaced (for free), and my door locks fixed. I also had the brake fluid and auto trans fluid replaced.
I had the problem where the doors would only lock intermittently. The dealership diagnosed the Multiplex unit right away without trying a bunch of fixes that didn't work. I searched the site and found a couple of people where their dealer tried different things till they ended up replacing the mulitplex unit.
I just replaced the PCV valve at 40k. It seemed to be clogged. It would barely rattle when compared with the new one.
I did a lot of research before choosing the TL. It was the best blend of safety, performance, fuel economy, roominess, looks and reliability that I could find.
