For those who did the throttlebody mod...
First, the mod is where you cut off all antifreeze going to the throttlebody.
Second, should I put it back to stock if I am going up to the mountains? I looked at the 5 day forecast and it's expected to be in the upper teens / lower 20s at night and above freezing during the day.
Thanks guys.

Don't remove this mod!!! I live in Minnesota. About two weeks ago we had like -30 Below Zero! I have done this mod. I never had any troubles at all! I don't sit and warm it up ether. I (of course) take it easy on him when it cold like that. But I don't sit and run it. I just drive! So should you. Just don't worry. It will be fine!!
Throttle Body Coolant Line Bypass.
Keeps the hot water (180-ish degress) from heating up the throttle body, which then transfers a little heat to the air charge. Just a litte help (if any) to keep the air charge as cool as possible.
Look up the original post by innaccurate for pictures on how to re-route the coolant lines. Very easy.

i have had this mod done for a while now and my buddy has an rsx type s which has been done for about three years now and we have never had any problems. i live in NC so the temps only get down in the teens at its coldest.
i dont know about driving right when u start the car.....oil does get thick in cold temps and takes some time to thin out and circulate. in the manual they tell u to let the car sit for one to 2 mins. then you can go at a nice pace til it fully warms up...i let it sit for 5 mins if its insanely cold.
