The best way is to go to the automotive store. Go to the fog light section and they should have them. It should include a wiring diagram. While you are there, pick up some connectors and wire if necessary.

Here is a diagram: http://www.classictruckshop.com/club...h/foglites.htm

I wish I knew how to do this with the TL instead of having to run it's own circuit: http://maxima.bryanb.com/fog/fogrewire.html

how screwy would it be to have relays coming off of each fog light (that have connections that go to OEM harness') & then going into a relay switch like this?

Yes.. the harness and swithc are simply that... Harness and switch. The harness is just the plug with wires that attach to the switch. The swithc is a switch.

LOL ...

The relay in the above picture is a regular Bosch automotive 30 Amp relay...

Need Help

Ok guys, I have my dash torn apart and I need help. My wire colors are different from the diagram on this thread. So I probed with a volt meter and can't make any sense of it. I have five wires, but they colors are different and the ones that are the same are in different locations.

Looking at the connector with the release button on the top, I have blue, green, red, red/black and black. So I don't have two red/blacks.

Anyone have any ideas?

I got it. They must have changed the wire colors on this part number. This is what I have (view is from the front (not where the wires come out), tab is up, reading from left to right):

#1) Blue: 12v Acc.
#2) Green: 12v + to signal fog light relay
#3) Red: Dash illumination 12v + from VSA #3
#4) Red/Black: Dash illumination ground (-) from VSA #2
#5) Black: Ground (-)

It took a while to test every wire to make sure it did what I wanted it to. I used a volt meter set on continuity. Not sure what the setting is really called but the one that measures resistance, or gives you notification when you touch the two probes together. Tested each light socket to see if/when it had power. Then made sure the green light came on with the switch in the "on" position, and sent a signal to the fog relay.

I suggest the same for anyone who attempts this. Mainly because of the dash illumination circuit is sensitive from what I have read on here. Test the wires yourself before hacking into your car. From the VSA switch, I tested voltage. I was able to get juice from two of the wires, but it cut out when I pressed "max". Be sure to test everything before wiring. I was able to find the VSA illumination feed information from another thread, but tested it first.

I think part of the problem here is connector perception. I kept getting lost on which wire was which. I too could have my wires crossed.

Yes, the OEM switch works with eBay fogs. You don't have to buy OEM harness to be able to connect it to OEM switch.
I bought those fogs, eBay item # 300310590297
I got 2 harnesses with those. On the switch harness you have two plugs: 1. for the switch that is included in the eBay kit and 2. for the OEM switch
After looking for a plug for like an hour in my friends junk harnesses, I was really nicely surprised when I got home & found out it is in the eBay kit
I was also surprised when I first saw the fogs for the first time, couse they are GLASS not plastic, like some sellers on eBay have.
I'll be mounting them in a week.
Buy it now !!!

I have been looking for this post! It looks like I am going to get the OEM switch from the dealer and I will skip the harness. I can easily solder my own set of wires onto the pins. I will probably trim off a side of the plastic (where the connector normally would go) so I can easily solder the wires onto the pins. I won't even have to cut the oem fog harness. Since I have a 04 model, (9006 foglights). I will buy a pair 9006 connectors from auto zone. Wire those up to the relay and then relay to the oem switch. I will post w/ pics when complete. I already modded the sidemarkers to blink w/ the corners. Thanks for the info!

Just ordered the switch but gonna wait on the harness. I've got enough wires and relays around to make my own.

Why go through all of that? HIDExtra (a vendor on azine) sells the 9006 harness for $17 shipped. The harness is very good quality, and comes with the connectors you need as well as a wire loom and shrink tubing already attached. The only thing I'd recommend is upgrading the cheap relay it comes with to a Bosch 40 amp.

Is it worth going to all that trouble to save a few bucks?

I'm gona go through all that (well not really all that to me at all =D) The 9006 harness are probably $8 for a pair. I have the rest of the parts already. Thanks for the tip though.
I only need 1 relay that wires up both foglights in a series circuit.

In other posts for the Fog Wiring, members have had the Solid Red as a Ground and the RED/Black as the 12V+.... does this make a difference? Which way will make the switch illuminate when you turn the interior lights on?

this was posted by Roger555, you can use the factory switch so you dont even need to buy the accord switch anymore.

This is exactly what I was looking for. So if I already have the ebay accord fogs, do I need the oem harness and the relay to compliment the oem switch?

question for you guys. Im going to use this mod for my halos. I bought the harness and relay that is used for the halos if you are going to use a separate switch. Do I need to buy this accord harness as well or just the switch?

You probably don't need the harness. However, it's much nicer to have the connector that plugs into the back of the switch. I'm sure you could use some female crimp style connectors, but I can't remember what it looks like back there.
