Thinking of upgrading to an 08
I am looking to trade in my 06-Auto/Nav (17K Miles) with an 08 Non-S (Don't like the red interior) Auto/Nav.
IF <--- A BIG IF
I get about $31,600 quote for '08 before tax, including dest. and IF I get around $24K for my current car, do you think this would be a good decision?
I know the 09 will be coming soon, but I don't like getting a new model in year 1. My current car doesn't have any problems, but ever since someone tried to steal wheels from the car (see https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170121) and after approx. $7200 repairs, I don't feel too good being in the car. It is mostly psychological, but I feel the car not as smooth as it used to be. This is my major reason to upgrade.

Tough decision given the previous damage.
But, I'd still wait for the 4G to be unvieled. Should only be a couple of months more. If it's really hot, you might want to wait for the 2nd MY release (the '10).
You've got such low mileage on your car your depreciation hit will be a little less than a "normal" mileage car. So waiting the extra year won't hurt quite as much.

I didn't think I liked the red instrument lights either in the Type-S. But after picking our car up Saturday and driving it all weekend, I like them quite a bit. It's unique, and is a nice compliment to the black interior of the NBP. Sporty as well. We changed the color of the Navi to red too, and that even looks good.
To each their own - but the Type-S is a phenomenal machine.

Good luck, and report back.
I went in wanting a regular TL, had no interest in the Type S. But, made the mistake of test driving a Type S. There are the minor aesthetic things that I liked (two tone seats, espcially on NBP, the rear spoiler, the pedals, the all black interior with the stitching). But what sold me was how fun the car is. The exhaust tone, how incredibly tight the drive is, and of course, the speed. And while you see a fair amount of TL's out there, there aren't too many Type S'.
Combine that with the fact that dealers are going well below invoice on these (we got the Type S for what we thought we'd get a TL for), and it sure is compelling.

$34,200 for my S two weeks ago, in neighboring Pennsylvania. I do think it could have gone a little lower still - they accepted my offer without much hesitation. They want to get rid of these things.

Can you change the navigation color in the Type-S from white to red? or is red standard.

Can change it among 5 or 6 colors, as I'm sure can be done on all the navi systems. The default is the white. But red looks good in the Type S. It's not all red, mind you, just red accents. And nicely done, fades from black on the edges to red. Visible when the audio screen is up, not so much when the navi map is up.

I think its a good price. From what I have seen the 08's arent going for as low as the 07's did at the end of the year.
Ofcourse you can wait and wait and pick on up for 32,500 when the 09's are about to come out but then you wont have much choice of color combo

I tried the type-S in the night, and just couldn't like it despite loving the ride/suspension/etc. The red color is a bit too much on my eyes. I guess when people get used to driving and mentally making a note of alarming when they see anything red is my problem with it. Every time I would look at anything in the cockpit, I would think of something wrong somewhere, hence the red sign, and there were red "signs" everywhere.
I got a quote for $32500 for an 08 NAVI including all except tax, and I think it is a great price.

On a separate note, is there an area where we have info on where to buy parts/accessories - recommendations for good parts prices? Of course, we have hondaacuraworld, and I have used delray acura in the past. Any others?
