Thinking of buying a 04 TL...

I'm thinking of buying a white 04 TL with navi... i called cerritos acura and they said that usually there is a 8-12 week wait, but when i talk to other dealers, they say that Acura is pumpin out the TL's in number so they are comin in by the truck loads. Also that most lots have a decent number of TLs on their lot. I'm planning to purchase a car the beginning of february... what are the real figures on these numbers?

Also i'm debating over whether to get a 04 TL w/navi or a 04 G35 coupe premium/navi...

Any opinion? and yes i know this is a TL forum but i just wanted to see your opinions even if it may be biased... thank u

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

While the G35 is a nice car, it is no TL. The new technology alone separates these two enough to choose the TL.

That said, your best bet in getting an idea on pricing is to look through some of the older thread as far back as yesterday.

Actually there are many threads dealing with purchase and lease pricing.

Good luck, and I hope you become a proud new TL owner.

Depending on the color you would like and the fact that you would like Nav, the wait seems in line with everyone else. What is the wait in the G35C?

As far as the G35C I have not driven one, but I like the exterior styling but not the interior. Nissan and Infinitis have a weakness of cost cutting on the interior and it shows, especially compared to the new TL. Drive both of them and see which one leaves a better impression.

Also are you thinking about 6MT or 5AT ? Only about 15% of all TL are 6MT.

I'd pick the TL over the G35 sedan but not the coupe. You live in LA. Get the RWD coupe. It will outhandle the TL hands down. Sit in the coupe and you will notice a difference from both the TL and the G35 sedan. You sit lower and it feels like a sports car. Interior might not have as many toys as the TL but I love the cockpit feel of the coupe. The VQ is more responsive at lower speeds and provides great torque in any gear.

If you are in need of practicality, get the TL. Have you seen the glove compartment....er trunk of the coupe.

thanks for the replies... im thinking of getting auto for either one... im not much of a speeder or racer... i just like comfort, economy, but at the same time have a nice ride... i also heard that in the G35 coupe you have to manually push down the navi for it to come out and also to go back in... is this true?

Personally hands down, i think the TL has a way better interior, but the exterior of the G35 coupe is better...

Also insurance questions... do any of you live in the 900** Los Angeles area and have a coupe or TL? how are the rates and wat insurance company. I've been with State Farm for a while and everyone tells me State Farm is very expensive compared to other companies...

Your feedback is greatly appreciated...
