Question Thinking About Letting Her Go...

Guys I was wondering: I've had her since she was just 6300 miles old. I keep her in the garage and keep the oil changed every 3000 miles. (I Know) I've kept her waxed and clay bared. Gone through all the Light and halo up grades as well as rims and tires. She's got some mean bump in the trunk and about a $Grand worth af Dynomat in the ass end of her to keep it sounding solid. No rattles, no dents, just a couple of scratches and minoe nicks in the front from rocks and bugs on the highway. She's rolling 48k miles right now. The inside is so clean it still smells brand new when you open the doors! The engine bay is cleaned everytime I wash the car. There is no dust or grime on it. I clean the door gaskets and trunl gaskets at every wash as well.

What do you guys think?

What should I list it for? like what would be the ABSOLUTE MAX you would pay for ths if THIS was the "One" you just had to have.

This IS NOT for sale!!!! YET. Please per the black market rules, I'm not offering this car for sale as of now. Just wondering what you guys might pay for one in such good condition.

I'd strongly suggest that you try to get the car back to stock. The older crowd ( depending on where you post it up for sale) probably do not care for modded headlights, wheels and a system. I couldnt see myself personally paying more than 15 for that car. I dont think anyone could really tell you what your going to get for your car tho.

what kind of headlight set up is that? i know this is off topic but i bought my car that was modded with custom headlights and one of them is collecting moisture but I dont know what the previous owner did so I have no ideal how they set it up. My dealer told me that i would either have to replace both so that it doesnt look retarded or keep driving it as is. Mine actually looks similar to yours so that's why i am asking. I would have to double check but mine actually has the led ring on the outer part not the inner part of the headlight like yours.

If your light is collecting moisture, then you dont have a good seal on the lens after it was put back together. To ans ur question, I have factory ballast with upgraded ZKW-R lenses and Phillips 885122+'s for output headlight bulbs. The Halo's are Orion V2 Led's from UMNITZA. Read this thread before you deal with the UMNITZA Jack ass tho. (https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/buyer-beware-770626/) The turn sigs are 7443 switchbacks. Had NO problems out of them so far and the look damn good.

DONT!!! I just talked with the dealer here and they JUST sold an 07 TL NAVI with 14K miles for $26. POW!! $16K is horse shit!! You guys need to take a look at NADA.com and price that out. There's no way yall are getting these cars for that cheap. that makes the 2G tl's worth $4K... not buying it!! lol

DONT be fooled by kelly blue book. Kelly is used by secondary lenders to jack up the backend financing for ppl who cant get primary lending. NADA is the guide for car pricing that all MAJOR dealers use to buy cars. Prices DO vary from regions but $10K?? COME ON!!!???!!

You definetly could/should have baught a type S... The guy I baught my car from baught it used CPO from the dealer and paid almost 29 for it with roughly 30k on it.. ended up selling it to me for 11,600 with like 76k.....I was also able to transfer over the warranty, I also paid that for it last may.

Yeah man your car be nice and all but I wouldn't pay more than 16k for it, especially since its not the Type S lol. I have an 05 and I still owe like 18k and I wish it were worth it at least what I owe... but its not...

An 07 Type S might bring in mid 20's if it's got under 30k miles on it. A base won't, especially considering the fact it's got 48k miles on it and is about out of warranty.

The advice about returning it to stock is correct, modifications don't add to the value of a vehicle, they decrease value by limiting the market.

See post #2 - first, get it back as close to stock as possible for a quicker sale. Definitely, stock headlights and shoes... sell these separately.

Secondly, expect it to go for about $16 - 17k in a private sale. Any expectations above this would be :shakehead

Just curious... why are you considering letting this car go?

Exactly. I will guarantee you would get more money by putting the stock rims on it and removing the halos.

I've experienced this first hand. I have a 10 second car that's worth less than it would be if it were bone stock.

I've even kept by stock brake hardware and stock springs just in case I sell it. Sell the aftermarket parts and get more from the sale of the car.

My biggest advice is put back stock wheels before you try to sell.

Fixitup: you already seem to know about pricing so you don't need us for that. As others have said, if you want to get top dollar and a quicker sale bring it back to stock. You never get your money back on mods and it detracts people and particularly dealers that don't car for mods. It does attract the younger crowd though but those people may not have the $ or credit to buy your car.

If you really want to know how much, how about posting an ad on Craigslist and find out what people will offer? You don't have to accept any offer. I would recommend keeping your car though since it looks in good shape. Save your money.
